I thought he was outstanding at the awards last year. Everything he said just really convinced me he'd take us onto another level this season.
Sad that it didn't work out. I would love it if he visited Old Trafford next season and we at least sing his name once. He did his best got us the FA cup and laid a foundation. Jose now has to build the Castle.
None for me thanks. He may well have tried hard but he did not do what is best for the players at his disposal. He demanded they play out of position and that they were to play in an overly cautious manner.
United proved to big for him. So he doubled down and stuck with PHC, Tree, and Carrick. As well as shipping out quality professionals.
To the Mods and Admins: we can get all 561 pages of this thread printed and bound, and shipped for about $45 per copy. Maybe we can include some artwork. I think it would be worth it. And there's a 15% off coupon if you hurry. I'd prefer a coffee table art book version of this thread, but any will do. The memories. The laughs. The tears. The heartbreak. The joy.
Thanks LVG for the FA Cup and good to see he is going on a high.
Like Bestie says he is a nightmare when it comes to the 90 mins but more entertaining otherwise. Really thought he was going to be a great success when he came here but it wasn't the case.
Read lots of papers these days following the demise of Van Gaal, and never had I seen such a hypocrisy from our fans. Few days ago we were all fuming about him, wanted him gone, some even wanted him lynched, and now, once he is gone, shitload of sympathy from us. Could be the plastics, who the fuck knows. But I know for sure that we here wanted him gone and yes, he did go in such shameful manner to speak, after winning FA Cup, but fuck it all, we wanted him gone and there is no sympathy in that. We all have seen what he has turned us into. Shameless, boring football, someone to be laughed at. I don't give a fuck that he is gone, I am overjoyed. Hell, he even took loads of money. Don't be hypocrites, if posting somewhere else besides our loving forum, express the god damn feelings as we are used to here. I know I do. To hell with boring football, sex masochism, and that other horny shit. GOOD RIDDANCE. Of to new season and of to showing to world what we really are, ATTACK ATTACK ATTACK!

Wanting a manager replaced with dignity and respect for a long and largely successful career isn't hypocrisy.
Think Blind knows that he was lucky to keep getting picked all season when he was, in my opinion, the weakest link in our back line. Should never have been picked as a CB.
We have to give LVG a little bit of respect now and let him get on with his private life and his family. He infuriated me a lot of the time and I wanted him out, boring football, the clipboard bit etc but at the end of the day he took over from a disaster named Moyes and at least he got us an FA Cup and in the Europa, missing out on the Champions League by goal difference. Imagine if we had qualified for the Champions League with the FA Cup in tow, would he have been here next year? And I bet you the bin dipper scum had wished they had got LVG before us and gave them an FA Cup and a Europa spot for next season.
The tabloid press boys are in their glory at the sacking, "Where did LVG go wrong...., "We told you first he was going to be sacked.....", "LVG's funniest quotes and video clips...". Once Jose takes over then the LVG news will be a dead duck and then all the tabloid press boys and girls will be rubbing their hands getting ready for Jose at United and the headlines just to sell their papers.
I wish you well Aloysius Paulus Maria "Louis" van Gaal and I hope you will enjoy your time with your loved ones and as I have always said, "Family comes first, Football comes second."

He's not talking about the club, he's talking about the media, that's how I read it anyway. "But in the case of Van Gaal he has not been treated fairly over the last six months.
"I think a manager with the status of Van Gaal, who has achieved so much in his career, deserved more respect.
"No matter what was said or written about him as a manager, he never stopped protecting us as players.
"He has defended us under any kind of circumstances, he was always taking the stick instead of us.

He said this though:
"I've enjoyed working with the manager so much.
"I would have liked to have carried on for a long while.
"A manager at a big club in the Premier League will always be under pressure.
