Lovely win for County today, glad I missed our shower of shite Brilliant result and played some great stuff too, the run in now though is rather tough, hopefully the league is done before they play Wrexham

I'm getting engrossed by non-league this season. Gateshead were demoted down to National League North, currently sitting 2nd just 1 point off promotion.
Brackely Town top; Gateshead have scored 32 more goals this season, and conceded 21 more. Clearly the more interesting team to watch!

Gateshead promoted back to the conference.
Scored 97 goals so far doing it too, 27 more than anyone else in that division. Marvelous stuff!

I attended my first Hayes & Yeading United (finished 2nd) games since moving out of the area for their Playoff semi & the final against Farnborough (finished 6th) . We go 1-0 up in the first half. 2nd half...we go down to ten men...you know whats coming...they equalise (and in the process during the fan celebrations they nearly flatten out metal perimeter fence!)...then in the dying minutes they score the winner...
They go to Conny South and we have to suffer another season in the Southern League South Division...

Stockport Halifax is on bt on Sunday, also they will be going to the Wrexham game too, as both can win the league, should be a cracking game, was at the Torquay match last night and the atmosphere was unbelievable.

Was in Wrexham last weekend. Saw Paul Rudd and Ryan Reynolds on the pints. Atmosphere was like town when United win the league/any big trophy. I know they’re financially doped, but there’s something big happening there, and I’m excited to see where it goes.

Yes and no. This seems like an actual personal thing for Reynolds and McElhenney and they are investing the 'right way'. I don't have a problem with owners investing their own money in a club, just not when they do it shamelessly flouting rules and for the purposes of buying relevance.

I used to live in the area and I am sure a couple of guys I knew played for H&Y… Whereabouts did you live?

Nice to see a club on a journey with American owners that actually give a fuck not only about the club but the fans and people around it.

Not to mention it's helping with the regeneration of the city centre there. A lot of their financial power is very smart brand building through the tv show. They have built a large fan base sort of like United have. Not to the same scale obviously, but enough that Chelsea and United see the advantage of a summer exhibition in US where they are popular. Also the owners actually give a shit about the team, city, and fans. Have been following them since they bought the team out of curiosity, and been enjoying it more and more as story unfolds. That PK save from Foster in extra time against Notts county was amazing. Can only hope Qatar/Jasim takeover, plays out the same way but at real global level. A sheikh who is a fan, who wants to see united glory days again would make United a force to be excited by again.
