The problem with signing Di Maria won't be the fee - it'll be another club that can offer CL football.
50-55 million sterling would be accepted by Real, but whether a European Cup winner wants to join a club without any European football, seemingly in decline, is a different matter entirely.
We're apparently pursuing him, so there's obviously hope, but I'll far from blame Woodward if it doesn't happen.
Years of Glazers under-investment lead to the average standard of quality in the squad, now we're in a very difficult situation in order to get back - look how difficult it was for Liverpool to get back there and they have a great manager, they made due with substandard players with a less intense fixture list, we'll have to do the same.

The thing that really pisses me off about Di Maria is that I don't really fancy him. He's an absolutely brilliant player; I would certainly prefer we signed Vidal.
Straight choice? I want a CM.
One of the best players in the world last season and I'm not that fussed if United to sign him because it will most likely be used to gloss over glaring inadequacies of ownership and Vice Executive Chairmanship. For. FUCK. Sake.

Aye. It's a no brainer. Vidal Reus and Di Maria in that order.
We were seemingly the only one after Vidal but I have lost any hope of signing him. Couple of reputed journos are saying we are pursuing ADM and that's why I think this maybe has a chance of happening. But this should not be at the cost of a CM. Honestly, I haven't got a clue what the plan is and how LVG is going to fix issues that have been accrued for a few years now.

Song + Blind or De Jong + Benatia or any of the combinations would mean that we can get to top 4 this year rather than chanse ADM for the next 2 weeks and end up with nothing but Rojo ( who btw is still yet to be confirmed by United).
50M would defo get Bender & Howedes or any of the above mentioned combinations and we'd still have change for an annual Burrito's/ Burger plan for Ando.
