I don't know if I should post it here, but it seems the deal for Welbeck to Arsenal has been finished. Between 16 to 18M pound it will be.
I think we could use welbeck a bit more often, and that we are now officially without a backup stricker but wilson.
I remember how well he played in the left front position against olympiakos at home. I wish we could've give him more chance at that position.

Yh mixed emotions here about this transfer he is one of my favourite players because he is a proper man united fan like the rest of us, he always played his hearth out for the team even if he wasnt always the best player on the pitch, I wish him all the best

So disappointed by this. So badly wanted him to do well at United but he was never going to get in ahead of Rooney, RvP and now Falcao and he was wasted on the wings. It'll be fucking shit seeing him doing well for Arsenal.

Rather give Wilson-Janu-Lingard minutes to improve, then spending more time on Welbeck. Danny Boy has a force field in his mind that starts at the top of the box and ends in front of the goal line...simply baffling how he would shit his shorts when the time came to finish a chance, good luck Danny, you were a great professional for the club.

BBC Sport's Simon Stone: "Manchester United will lose a link with home if Danny Welbeck completes his £16m move to Arsenal.
"For Longsight-born Welbeck is the only Mancunian remaining amongst the senior players in the United first-team squad.
Welbeck caught the attention of club scouts when he was just six years old and joined their academy when he was eight.
Since then, Nicky Butt has joined Newcastle - by true definition the remainder of the Class of 92 are not Mancunians - and Wes Brown has moved to Sunderland."
Sigh.

Yes but Giggsy is a Mancunian isn't he. By the strictest definition maybe not, but for long enough for it to count.

How about Januzaj? He is probably first team player now, and youth. Well knowing he came in when he was 16 but still...

I guess it's not hugely important that they're from Manchester but it does worry me that the club is looking to sell off some of the few English players we have left in the first team, the rest being fringe at best, mostly youth or academy.

I don't like this transfer at all. On one hand I like the lad, on the other hand I see some chance that it will work for him and for the Arsenal. If he get enough playtime he can overcome his shortcomings and his playing style seems to match the Gunners style. It can bite us in our ass in the future.

Got my Newcastle mates on facebook mouthing off about the price tag.
Pointed out that as it's 19 million less than they got for Andy Carroll I wouldn't imagine there's a Newcastle fan anywhere with the sheer audacity at trying to claim it's too much money for him.

Disgusted. Danny Welbeck flogged to Arsenal and Wayne c*nting Rooney is our fucking captain. Yep. And the age profile of our strikers is getting pretty high as well.
