Wasn't Joubert the wanker who basically gave the All Blacks the last final? Worst ref performance I've ever seen. Bryce Lawrence, 2011. Hands fucking down, a perfect example of how not officiating the breakdown can lead to an absolute nightmare of a game. Up and til that last botched offside call, which in real-time seemed harsh but correct by the laws of the game, I didn't think Joubert had such a nightmare performance tbh. It was only after replay upon replays were focusing on the ball making contact with the Australian that it even became an issue, then the emotion spread through the media and it was suddenly a 'nightmare'performance'- there seems to be two calls he failed to get right, the TMO-referral isn't even something you'd usually expect to take place - it's tough, but having watched Joubert throughout his career he's probably one of the top referees in the Southern Hemisphere, that's not even a stretch. Feel sorry for Scotland, brave performance.

The European nations may be surprised at how well Argentina have been doing, but they've been on a steady incline for a good while now, having drawn with Australia and beaten the Springboks in the Championship. They've also developed their game so much, adding an expansive dimension with a willingness (and ability) to use the width of the pitch.
I'll be watching that semi with interest, though I don't think there's much hope for the Springboks against the All Blacks - that said, being so heavily expected to lose may be an advantage.
Yes, the All Blacks were devastating against the French, but that French side is considered one of the worst in the last decade. Other than that match New Zealand haven't faced top quality opposition whilst Wales were incredible under the circumstances. Think the South African set pieces, especially the scrums, could be an area they may struggle with, especially if the conditions become wetter.
Still, the safe money is on NZ vs Australia in the final.

Not the side they were years ago and with them being in with the tri nations now they were bound to improve vastly. But agreed, can't see past an Aussie/ Kiwi final here.

TBH, if us Jocks had beaten the Aussies I think we would have came unstuck against the Argies. Australia and SA have been riding their luck but always have had that little bit of flair in the tight situations and winning at the death. But the All Blacks too me are bloody awesome. Against the French they made handling errors but just carried on. Then again, the French were crap and just laid down and died in the second half. The All Blacks have another Jonah Lomu in the making, Julian Savea. That guy is class but they also have the 33 year old centre/wing Ma'a Nonu. A 101 caps and 120 points so far in his career, he just keeps rolling on. I love watching that guy play, a 6 foot, 16 stone 12 pound fucking tank.

Memories, Jonah Lomu
He was a beast. Slightly disappointed they didn't have my favorite moment on there though. Where he put Underwood on his arse in the 1995 world cup. Ripped England a new arsehole all on his own that day

You know he nearly died due to kidney disease? His mate was a match and donated one of his.

Yeah I remember. Wasn't he still playing when that started? He's got a TV show now. Where does he rank on the list of the greatest?

However, I've never seen a player that caused as much damage as he did. He was unplayable. And if you did double up on him then they took advantage of it elsewhere. SA in the final in 95 were the only team I saw deal with him and that took heroics from Small and Pienaar (who seemed designated to hit Lomu once Small had a grip on him) to achieve that. And even then he nearly broke on a couple of occasions.

That was the only way they could stop Lomu the beast, but nowadays with the All Blacks you can double up on a great player but they will just have a few more too take over and do damage. I am looking forward to the New Zealand v Sth. Africa game and I hope its a classic, that's what rugby is all about, men v men going in hard and giving no quarter then after the match, shaking hands and clapping the other team off then off to the boozer and have a few pints, talk and laugh about the match and no hard feelings, win or lose.

Plus the fact that he got the call wrong to begin with doesn't help.
