Don't see what the issue is, he'll be playing regularly - he's not even making match day squads atm and if we have a recall option it'll be an invaluable experience to play on a weekly basis for a team that will hopefully be challenging for promotion. Why are people overreacting like this, we can't keep a youngster in the reserves just because we're short on squad players - hence the recall option. Win-win, he'll waste away on the bench and in the u21 league, which is piss poor. I saw on their website, they have Chris Martin, Bent, John Russell and Wiemann listed as strikers. We know the first 2 play as CF and Wilson would be 3rd choice. No guarantees for regular time. Adnan's case is similar. He has just replaced the departed Kuba, a squad player. With Europa, I'm more hopeful he will atleast get sufficient chances. When the likes of Evans, Welbeck and Clev all went out on loan, they played key part in survival/promotion. Derby has no wins in 5 games and with the loss of influential Hughes, they are likely gonna struggle big time. Why send him there?

Regardless of how he does as a manager, he should be good for Wilson, and give him plenty of chances.

i should say that despite my concerns articulated a couple pages back i'm curious to see what happens and prepared to see LVG's tenure through. i think most of us agree that the first 11 needs a couple of players and the squad needs about 4 players (less if those out on loan return). we all wanted it done for the coming season but if done at the start of next season, we have the squad places and wages available to bring the right players in. i do think he is setting us up for a run at everything next year, but in order for that to be enough he needs to be able to secure CL football from this season, and that's where my concerns lie right now.My concern with your concern is that almost all of it is LVG's sole making. God knows how many more players he might fall out with this season. Not inconceivable that Ander, Adnan, Wilson and one or two more get disillusioned and leave. We will be in no position to compete next time either. This is not some knee jerk reaction but LVG's managerial career has been fraught with combustible and high profile bust ups culminating in him getting the sack. I can see a lot of parallels with his disastrous 2nd spells at Barca and Bayern. Look no further that our GK mess and threadbare defence and compare with Bayern circa 2009. All of last season, he cried lack of balance and players to implement his favored 433. Come the summer, we sign a few to address exactly that and what does he do? Switch to another formation we don't have the personnel for, according to him Where is the rationale or clarity in that? Either he is oblivious or too stubborn and neither of which bodes too well for us. Speaks volumes when Gary fucking Monk changed formation and the supposed tactical genius said we couldn't cope. #Rant over. Bring on the scousers

See Luke Shaw. Huge mistake that one. Should of seen how Reece James developed at left back before spunking all that money. Sometimes it's worth it.

Far as this whole thing with Wilson goes, he needs to get playing time, he is on recall, and I expect he will do well at Derby and be back to United in reasonably short amount of time. If he is 3rd choice and if he isn't good enough to start for Derby then I don't quite understand the whinging going on over his transfer. If he can't win starting spot at Derby then he is never going to be good enough for United, might as well find that out right now as continuing to burn $$ on his development right?? The "dreary" football being played, with the players seeming to overthink the passes too much,. hells bells! How fooking long have they been playing together ?? Regardless of training, match time is where players get used to each other. Is the hesitation LvG's tactic? Is he saying, hold the fooking ball up and miss the passes?? If so, hang the dutch muppet and get it over with. Or could it be that the players are still getting used to each other and looking better week after week?? An we can expect to see them rolling along here by around mid October?? I think the latter, but I am inclined to always want to think the best of the club I support. Rant over

Rant over Thats true Grampy and I am sure he will get playing time there. I am moaning about this transfer for 2 reasons 1. I feel that he would have got game time here with CL and other competitions and the squad is not so big. He could have been used as sub and given a start occasionally. If we wanted to loan him we should have done that last season when we had all those strikers. Even though there is a recall clause I don't see LVG using that unless we suffer too many injuries, he will play other players like Memphis, Fellaini etc as No.9 if we had injuries to Rooney and Martial. 2. I am worried LVG doesn't rate him at all. All the players LVG sent on loan are sold the next season.
