Can someone explain to me the purpose of this 'womans march'? They all synced up or something. Just a plain old peaceful protest to show they aren't happy with who is president. They know nothing will be changed immediately but also show they aren't taking it lying down. Very cool imo. Didn't they just have an election? -yes i realise that Trump made that comment? |

Yes and 3 million more people voted for Hillary than for Trump so that comment was Trump just trying to wind people up. It's the majority reaffirming their position. Trump party has power not just in the white house but in the house and senate and yet there is more votes for democrats. It's not going to go away for the next 4 years |

Also, there is a brilliant video going around from some guy who went out to the 'Women's March' in Trafalger Square asking people why they were protesting. Nobody could give a straight answer when pushed. Sums it up really. Politically illiterate morons who jump aboard whatever narrative is presented to them. Yes, Trump is a nightmare. 'Protesting' because I just told you he is a nightmare is almost as bad. Some of the signs at those things were bloody hilarious though. |

I agree with both those points. Both of those points were out of the hands of all those protesters though. The whole election was out of their hands because a lot would've wanted Bernie. Most would've wanted the electoral college to turn on Trump and a lot would've have come from big states where their votes actually count for less than others. That's why they protest. To let people know they aren't happy about those things.
Again this election isn't just going to go away. The reprocussions will go on for years. This is a bigger deal to a lot of people than I think some people realised when I was going mental during election day.

Too true Given the gerrymandering the repubs did prior to this election it was pretty much set for Repubs to win, but I don't think anyone saw Trump getting the nomination From my point of view, didn't matter who won, Hillary or Trump, we were screwed, especially with Repubs getting both houses. This might be time to burn it down an start over, gonna be an interesting 4 years |
