You can tell by looking at them that City are a bunch of utter pricks though. Sterling, De Bruyne, Fernandinho and that Ederson in particular need a good slapping. Good to hear the younger lads like Rashford and Shaw getting stuck in as well as the older nutters. To be fair, I don't buy into that dressing room pseudo-tribalism. All this happened after those young nutters were on the football field for 90 minutes, where they had the chance to get one over those City players. If their celebrations were so irritating our young nutters should have reacted to their second goal celebrations on the pitch when they still had 40 minutes to do so. I don't follow United for slapping or boxing reasons, and to be absolutely honest I don't give two fucks as for which side won the dressing-room handbags. I totally buy into it. I think it’s great. Not because of any kind of macho stuff, because it will hopefully start a turf war with these shit heads similar to the one against Arsenal in the 90s. Which ultimately helped improve Utd as we’d had it too easy in the Premiership up to that point, bar Blackburn and that was due to Cantona’s ban. I don’t want us to be pally with them, I don’t care if they play for the same national side. They celebrated like wankers on our patch, then make sure you hurt them in any way you can in future.

at one point i think in the first half rojo and otamendi had some trouble with each other. that surprised me because i thought that they are both actually good friends.
say what you want about rojo but one thing is for sure, that guy seems to understand united.he is full of passion for the club and shows it whenever he plays (his odd mistake aside). and he is one of the few that you see in the middle of united fans every now and then when he is not playing.

I like Rojo's attitude, but I just don't trust him on the pitch. If he starts at CB it makes me think that we need to improve our CB options. (Or wait for Lindelof to improve to become a regular starter with Bailly, which tbf is what I would do and what Jose appears to want to do.)

I appreciate Rojo's attitude and passion but he's reckless at times. He should look at Bailly who plays with aggression but always seems in control. Wish we had him in this game.

The thing what fucked me off was the back slapping and hand shaking in the tunnel before the game. No way should that be happening in a derby.

I care too. Emotion and passion are also part and parcel of competitive sport. At least ice hockey (seemingly alone) recognize this and allows players to literally fight each other. They don't get 9 months' ban, they get a 5 minute major. The players strolling around playing for the paycheck and not feeling the pride of history - that's City to a T. Confetti and Noel Gallagher should be enough to kick anyone's head in.

Rojo and Young both. For the record, Rojo has been excellent (mostly) when played in his natural position, but experienced some of the same wobbles as Darmian at left back. Rojo and Bailly could make a great central defense. Having Lindelof fighting for a spot in there will be a great way of challenging for better performances from them all.

Wish we had him in this game. he got banned from the Final for punching a player. hardly a player in control. but I cant stand the friendliness before games etc its complete bollocks. any level sport should be left until after the game to shake hands etc, but if your direct and closest rivals like that on your own turf you get fired in on the pitch and try turn it round not in the changing room when the points have already been lost.

If their pride as top professional athletes isn’t hurt enough by being outplayed then I don’t expect any reaction for their noisy neighbours being a bit noisy. Do they really fall short in most top 6 duels, only to find an extra gear because they were sprayed with milk in the away dressing room at OT?

Then there are times its war, as with all contact sports. I’m surprised this is news.

Totally agreed, and when I see David Silva out-muscling a bunch of >6ft defenders and DMs I can't help but think that what we lack is not hurt pride or gang mentality but a proper game plan that will give us a chance on the pitch against quality sides. Oh well, thanks to that busy fixture list it's almost time to move on to the next game thread...
