I hope to hell we win our other games coming up , I can't entertain the thought of Xmas being fucked up by shit results. Meh, after last night I don't feel like I care anymore. This united side has the ability to do great things but they don't seem to give a shit. Pissed off with Rashford aswell atm. Last few games he's been lazy and looked very uninterested, last night he was a joke. Stops running and passes it backwards or trying to win a penalty instead of just finishing it. Instead of these stupid handshakes and clowning around Rash. Fergie would have grounded that shit by now, Jose needs to do the same. They want to clown around then fine but get the fucking job done first.

I'm not a Mourinho fan from the start, but he's done a pretty good job as far as I'm concerned with his style and with what he has got to work with. City are peaking in their 10 year plan and we are probably a year away from really challenging that, if the fucking idiots above him get serious and really back him this window and Summer.
I don't know what hair brain plan they have now, but changing manager now would be a disaster. There isn't some huge gulf between many of Fergusons teams and wins to this style either, it's just the comparison to City right now.
We played some really good football yesterday, but missing 3/4 open goals from young players as the result of some really good play by the team is not the managers fault. It was similar last year, if people forget the amount of clear chances wasted has improved this year, but we are lacking clinical finnishers waiting for Martial, Rashford, Lingard etc to become those players.
The journos and the majority aim at the manager, because everyone loves to hate Mourinho and suddenly but what's gone on before has been a joke from Woodward and the owners
41 goals already this season in the league and it should be 50+ if we had a bit more experience or class up front. Martial and Rashford are learning their trade and we are supposed to compete with that!? Chelsea have scored 9 less and the Dippers who can't defend for shit are lauded for the most exciting attack ever, but have only managed the same amount of goals.
The recruitment under Van Gaal was some of the worst in any club in history and that's not an exaggeration. If we are really smart and aggressive in these windows we could pick up some great players without having to spend Neymar money on them

Issue with the captaincy situation is none of them already at the club are captain material. Hard to go out and sign a player and make him your captain instantly. I'd say Bailly would be a contender but I still think he's too reckless and raw. After the genuine attempt to re-organise the team yesterday we should maybe consider Jones for the role but he'll probably be injured in a week or two so we'll have to find another. De Gea maybe? I don't normally think who the captain is, is a massive deal but with how sorely we lack leaders in this side I think we need a strong one now more than ever. Given my comments about him in the past this may sound odd BUT Valencia is probably a good candidate for captain. Gives 100%, plays well every game, been here longer than most. Really? I'm pretty sure Valencia cant speak english fluently so how will he communicate?

The only thing we can blame the manager from last night was the decision not to get Smalling out of that situation at the end, players attitudes and lack of ability to score simple chances is something else.

Actaully - Question here. If Jones was trying to reorganise the team and Herrera just said no, what was Pogba actually doing? He was the captain after all. Probably too busy dabbing or checking his hair. He might act the big man and has the flashiness, swagger and big personality but he's no leader or captain. We need him right now to be stepping up and being the creative force and midfield general that he was bought for, instead he is often just as guilty as players like Rashford and Martial for being stroppy, petulant and ineffective when the game goes against them. He may have all the talents in the world, and yes he's still only 24, but in terms of inspiring the team, leading them, organising them and imposing himself he's very far from being Keane or Robson. As others have said, Valencia is probably the best bet for captain at the moment, although as far as I'm concerned that's still scraping the barrel. Solid player with bags of experience and has been at the club a long time but must be the contender for the least vocal player in the team. I honestly don't know how it can be solved at the moment though, unless we can 3D print Roy Keane some new legs.

Probably too busy dabbing or checking his hair. He's not a captain and in fact he needs a player in MF to boss him if anything! He's super talented but clueless in positioning at times and lacks discipline. It's clearly become an issue with him for some players with recent leaks and you can see his reckless fucking attitude at times. He basically needs to grow the fuck up, but it's difficult straddling the role of a professional athlete and a commercial celebrity.

Valencia is hardly an inspirational organiser or communicator. He's basically Forest Gump on the right. (That's a bit harsh, he's a top lad, but hardly the future as RB for us let alone captain)

Only player at the back to deserve it is Dave. But the way things are going I wouldn't be against Matic having it. He's been a rock in the middle and without him I think we'd have struggled a lot more this season.

The problem for me is that through style and desire to communicate the captain should be Jones. But you can't trust him with injuries so god knows what you do.

Can excuse him a little for the first goal, all playrrs make mistakes and to be fair to the lad generally when he doesn't injure himself he's solid, not often he makes a mistake. If he stayed fit then agreed it should be him. Last night in the dying minutes he proved why he should and Herrera proved why he shouldn't.

Only needs to learn certain phrases anyway. "Oi, you go over there" and "shit Jones has injured himself again, sub".
