We shouldn't be remotely considering signing a new left back in January unless it's Sessegnon for the future. Shaw has been excellent since getting back in the team. Looks really fit as well.

Pogba gave his shirt "to some kid" and had a warmup top on for the post-match interview where he got the MOTM award. I think Lingard could also have gotten MOTM.

The cynical/wary part of me can't help thinking this is going to be van Gaal's spring of 2015 all over again. Finally play 4-3-3 that gets the best out of our best players, then inexplicably revert to type after a few games. Probably when Lukaku comes back. Or when we play a big team. He can't be allowed to walk into the first team when he's fit again. |

Much better second half I moaned at half time that we were taking far too many passes and we needed to get the ball forward much quicker, looks like Jose came on here and took my advice.

Lindelof was superb too I must say . Bloody hell , this was a good performance all round . Lindelof should only be used as a RB in the direst of dire emergencies although he did alright. |

Aye we have to re-examine our aims for the season now. For me I want to see an improved level of football (like today), culminating in us closing the gap on City and nailing down 2nd spot. A good run in Europe wouldn't go amiss either. |
