We shouldn't be remotely considering signing a new left back in January unless it's Sessegnon for the future. Shaw has been excellent since getting back in the team. Looks really fit as well. I’d buy him, loan him back till the summer and then play him as a left winger. But Shaw must now be kept. There is no footballing reason to even contemplate selling him. The money he is saving us (albeit after a high transfer fee of his own) is huge. 50 mill for Rose, who is in no way superior.

I'm still baffled as to how Pogba gets the captaincy considering his all round inability to influence any game. Then again we've got a Portuguese loon-ball as manager so that explains it. Hello.

The irony is with lukaku we should be better in a 433, with that frame he should offer strength and hold up play to bring others in and draw 2 defenders thus freeing up space. Drogna had this down to a tee. You just wonder if players get developed in some ways. We used to buy players just below world class and then make them world class by allowing their natural game to flourish whilst also teaching them others of sides of the game

I don't see what he offers that Martial does not.

I don't see what he offers that Martial does not. I think we were ok, let’s also remember we were tagged at times and we allowed Everton when McCarthy came on to come at us. It was a win and a platform to build on. In regards to lukaku he is a different player to martial and rashford. There isn’t room for all 3 and I feel different teams should be tackled via different attacking trios. Martial for me in full swing is better cutting in and lukaku on song should be a bully centrally. With lukaku I just feel the coaches need to coach him better, the physical attritibutes are wasted sometimes, first touch can also be better it has to be when you are a lone striker however I feel that has improved abit

Whilst Mata played well today, a proper RW with pace would be lovely.

It's been a very long time since we had a real threat down the right and it needs addressing.

Jose's press conference comments are beyond peculiar.
He decides to follow a good performance from his team by having a childish dig at Scholes, suggesting he's jealous of the money Pogba earns. All this because Scholes criticised (and rightly so in my opinion) a few of Pogba's recent displays and also said he was better at Juve because he played a more advanced role.
The bellend fucked up today by setting us up to actually play well and win, so I guess he had to piss off some of the fanbase in a different way.

Even the whole dressing room row with citeh was unnecessary. Use their celebration and criticism from the press/former players as something you could use in the dressing room to help motivate the players. He really needs to keep his mouth shut on Scholes. He had every right to criticize Pogba’s Southampton game.

For the record, I have no issue with him disagreeing with Scholes but at least go about it like an adult instead of childish, bullshit jibes about earnings and shit.
Fan opinion on him is rapidly declining as it is without these kinds of dumbass comments.

Scholes and Keown both pissed me off tbh . Keown talking absolute bollocks defending Shaw. He obviously went went off on one a bit with the money part but Fergie had a right go at Keane and questioned his managerial abilities. Van Gaal had a pop at some of our ex players for something similar when he was here.
