Jose's press conference comments are beyond peculiar. He decides to follow a good performance from his team by having a childish dig at Scholes, suggesting he's jealous of the money Pogba earns. All this because Scholes criticised (and rightly so in my opinion) a few of Pogba's recent displays and also said he was better at Juve because he played a more advanced role. The bellend fucked up today by setting us up to actually play well and win, so I guess he had to piss off some of the fanbase in a different way. It was a bit Trumpish. Scholes was spot on but at the same time everyone has a right to defend themselves.

This was a pointless battle for Jose to start. Even the whole dressing room row with citeh was unnecessary. Use their celebration and criticism from the press/former players as something you could use in the dressing room to help motivate the players. He really needs to keep his mouth shut on Scholes. He had every right to criticize Pogba’s Southampton game. He has every right to make those comments as Scholes had to make his. Are ex players untouchable or something? Scholes and Keown both pissed me off tbh . Keown talking absolute bollocks defending Shaw. He obviously went went off on one a bit with the money part but Fergie had a right go at Keane and questioned his managerial abilities. Van Gaal had a pop at some of our ex players for something similar when he was here. I don't necessarily think Scholes is an interesting or even a good pundit but what he is, is an honest one. If he thinks we've played well, he'll say it and vise versa. There's never been an ulterior motive with him about anything in my opinion. So to suggest he's only criticising Pogba for a combination of jealousy about earnings and disappointment about not getting a job on the coaching staff is utter nonsense. Have a dig back about his lack of coaching knowledge and the likes by all means but the other stuff is pathetic. He just wants to see us playing good football and winning trophies, like most other fans.

He probably is but he's probably fed up of the constant negativity when we are the best we've been since Fergie left ? Funnily enough Moyes got cut more slack but that may have had something to do with Phil Neville being a part of the shit fest in that particular management team.

Or what Mourinho could do...like a normal person is take the criticism and not be such a whiney, childish cunt about it. Accept things will be said and instead prove them wrong. Scholes isn't wrong in what he's said. Pogba has been sloppy lately. He had an incredible 2nd half which is why he had MOTM but that's the first decent performance we've seen from him since he's been back from suspension. Instead of commenting on Scholes making it as a pundit concentrate on your own fucking job. Much needed win but its not a case of out of the woods. Really needs to stop with the bullshit with the press eating into their hands.

and thats the issue too busy fighting where he doesn't need to, that energy should go into creating a seize mentality like fergie did, get the players extra fired up.

Yesterday could really have seen us win 5-0, all sublime goals, on another day.
As it was we managed with two.
Taking great pride in Lingard's season, really hope he can keep it up and remain injury-free.
Enjoyed that midfield three, there's balance there, and Martial finally getting a shot up front can only bode well.

We generally look so much better when the ball is kept on the ground. martial mata rashford jesse all plays better when they have ball passed onto the space before them rather than having to bring down a long ball only to be immediately bullied off it with 3 opposition players out muscling them.
Good win all round performance and confirmed lot of things we already knew - shaw is good , pogba has to play a more advanced role, lukkaku is at best a good sub and not a certain starter.

We played well second half when the passing got slicker and more penetrative also the lack of arial crosses helped us obviously because we didn't have a big centre forward to cross to, but what happens when Lukaku is back? because he will go straight into the side its nailed on.

Re Anthony’s goal yesterday, Rom would’ve more than likely hit the corner flag. Really like him as a 9, although I wish he’d Smile/look like he was enjoying the game a tad more though, he’s like Anelka’s moodier kid brother ☹️☹️

Looked like he enjoyed it quite a bit!

Martial's goal yesterday was his 7th from just 15 shots (total) in the league this season. Now that's fucking clinical!
