Re Anthony’s goal yesterday, Rom would’ve more than likely hit the corner flag. Really like him as a 9, although I wish he’d Smile/look like he was enjoying the game a tad more though, he’s like Anelka’s moodier kid brother ☹️☹️ Did you see his reaction when he scored? Looked like he enjoyed it quite a bit! Yep, his face cracked into a smile momentarily, until normal service was resumed☹️. Still love him to bits though. |

Lets hope Mourinho builds on this and doesn't revert back to 4-2-3-1 as soon as Lukaku is back. I thought we looked much more balanced with the three in the middle.
Defence looked solid enough (Rojo is still a big liability though IMO) and it's good to see Shaw finally regaining a bit of the form we saw before his leg break.
Midfield worked well, didn't look as open as we often have been this season when it's been Matic/Pogba. Another CM in this window would be very useful so that Fellaini is not needed when he returns.
Lingard proving his many doubters wrong. Whilst I don't think he's ever going to be world class, he's proving what hard work and intelligent play can do.
Would love for Martial to get a proper run in the team up top - still got by far the most potential out of any of our frontline IMO.
Overall, a good win in a tricky game, we really need to go on a bit of a run though now to secure our top 4 place.

4-2-3-1 was outdated five years ago. 100% on the 4-3-3 bandwagon going forward. I will always hold a candle for 4-4-2 but it isn't realistic at the highest level.
