“His performances, well they have to improve. They can’t get any worse to be honest with you.” Scholes on Sanchez Scholes gets hammered by fans so.etimes for his opinion. His opinion is basically if you aren't winning you are shit. I really like it sometimes. Its because he says it as it is and some people dont like that. He grew up with the club and lived his life with the club, must be gut wrenching for these lads to sit there and witness what's happening to the club.

I remember the Scousers in the 90s didn’t like hearing their former players talking about their team and it’s shortcomings. Because the truth hurts. Their standards were ridiculously high, you go from Hansen to Mark Wright, Souness to Jamie Redknapp for example. Decent players but not a patch on those two Scots. We’re fast approaching a similar point unfortunately.

Rashford can want to be a CF all he wants, he’s far more dangerous on the left.

And Martial takes what feels to be the first decent corner in about 6 years and Pogba puts it wide. Think I said during the game yesterday that I've no idea why Rashford continually takes corners, I still don't. Never beats the first defender.

What was confirmed for me yesterday is that it's Smalling + 1.
Sell Jones and Rojo in that order and either play Lindelof or sell/loan him out.
Bailly despite his recent injuries/shaky form shouldn't be making way for Jones.
Shearer got him spot on yesterday.

Anyone notice how lob sided that team plays. The majority of play on the left with even Pogba out there playing tap ball with Sanchez and Young and nobody in the middle, it's just aimless. The right with Valencia is stop and pass back for 90% as it has been for years.
I just don't think the style has changed since Van Gaal, depite the money he has spent! Obviously there is some improvement in position, because he has bought top players. We get a few more goals because he has better players. We spent a load of money and most people don't even include Sanchez which is wrong. That guy wasn't a free transfer we swapped a player we could have sold for 30M for a start and was better in that team despite being bad and he is costing a crazy 100m with no sell on value!
Martial, Rashford and Pogba 3 of the most talented young players in the world game are shadows of what they were or have gone backwards and Sanchez is suddenly shit and the wrong player anyway. His centre back signings( the CB whisperer bollocks) can't get near the team and the only forward that has maintained some form is Lukaku and that's because he is the right player in a Jose team. Mikki was a disaster and is gone, but none of that is down to the manager according to his defenders
What the fuck was the on form Herrera doing practically shackled as a CB yesterday man marking one player. Which has worked once with some luck in 4 games

I said it during the match yesterday- the Rents pressed us up to the point where we passed it out to the full backs. Then they stopped and got ready to defend their box, safe in the knowledge that neither Young or Valencia posed the slightest bit of danger to them. It was obvious after 20 minutes this was a tactic. If we buy a decent attacking full back like Sandro at least he’d have to be respected by the opposition.

I know that's not the point, but Smalling was ok yesterday. Still think we need another proved CB.

On the West Ham thread, I pointed out that some players are not being developed in detriment of mediocre players and Lindelof is one of them (not being developed). Before labelling him as a flop, we should take a closer look on how many matches in a row he has played this season.

Just on Lindelof, it's been quite evident that Jose just doesn't trust him, which I find strange.
Yes he's had games were he's looked unsure, but I'd be reluctant to have a go off him as Jose just isn't playing him so how can he establish himself?
I think Lindelof is a confidence footballer, I think there's a player in there. I'd definitely hang on to him. Should have played yesterday in my view.
