XI: De Gea Pereira Fred Martial Rashford As long as those start I'll be happy. I'll eat my hat if Tony starts. He's going to be benched for going against Jose's wishes. I think the OP starting XI will be bang on to what Jose puts out. We'll beat Leicester as they're missing players too and that side 'should' get the job done. Mata goal and assist.

I admire your optimism. We'll squeeze past Leicester 1-0, bag three points and Jose will lap it up, state he's still alive and ask why some people had a problem with him when he's bored the living daylights out of us again, just this time it's in the Premier League.

Nah, I can't see them getting 3 with Mahrez gone and Vardy out.
2 should be enough for them.
Jesus wept it's so depressing that I'm only half joking.

No excuses with this one. Leicester likely without Maguire and Vardy. They also sold Mahrez.
Mourinho can shove his excuses up his arse if we don't win here.

Are we at the point where we say 3 points are all that matter?

They just want to see some good football. Winning in the shite way we do only serves to justify mourinhos tactics.

Until proven otherwise ... we can hope that the squad plays forward, aggressive football. Its why we watch. Its why we continue to support. Its why we hope that the manager and the squad will remember what it means to play for that badge, and that city, and those previous squads.

Nope.
We've spent the last few years just thinking as long as we win and finish top 4 then that's enough for now, we can concentrate on the much better football further down the line. Well, we're at that point on the line now. The football comes first, it needs to be quality, attacking football.
I can take us finishing outside the top 4 for a couple of seasons if we had a progressive manager playing with attack minded youth. Winning 1-0 playing defensive hoofball with a bunch of 30 somethings? Fuck that, I'd rather lose.

100%. Get the football style right, get the club signing talented young players & the results will come. This season will be a total write off if we finish with no trophies in the top 4 playing shit football.

Other hand, we need a title. Like, now. Otherwise city run away from us, Liverpool might fluke one, and we can't get back in the door for years.

But, if we play scintillating attacking football, we'll batter most teams. As Liverpool and City showed last season. Most of the shite in this league crumbles.
