If the rest are in the squad then there is no excuse we can't win this 1-0.

His presser was another unsurprising miseryfest.
I really can't contain my excitement for tomorrow night.

there we are then..
my team for Friday night
----------------- DDG
Darmian - Lindelof - Bailly - Shaw
---- Fred - Herrera - Pereira
Mata ----- Sanchez ----- Rashford
got to be the slowest right hand side we have put out

Unfortunately the chances of Smalling not playing tomorrow are depressingly slim.
Just cannot envisage Mourinho going with a Lindelof - Bailly first choice partnership.

He was bob on about the press treating us as if we are relegated and praising those behind us as successful. Unfortunately because so many want him out regardless they won't see any truth in it .
Yes the footballs not great but there are some on here who are feeding off the negativity far more than anything he has said over the summer.
Folks complaining about the lack of signings and then on the next page arguing that it's pointless getting any because he will turn them to shit anyway. When we have beat the top 6 teams such as Chelsea, Spurs x 2 , Arsenal x 2, Pool x 1, City on their own patch the Seville game will be brought up or the draw at Anfield or any of the other shit games we dropped points in.
The negativity infiltrates so many threads, players who are clearly not good enough = "it's the managers fault , under someone else he would be a star". Others are continually bashed whatever they do or are blamed for others not getting their game time.
I didn't want Matic as I thought he was too old but I'll admit I got it wrong. Zlatan was a very good player for us, he was a big part of those 2 cups we won but even when he left there were plenty ready to stick the boot in regardless. He was the main reason we could finally get rid of the player who was stinking out the place because Rashford and Martial alone couldn't do that. Mikitaryan was heavily criticised on here and rightly so but I have no doubt it will be a reason to criticise the manager next time he scores a goal.
I think this will be Jose's last season regardless imo.

So much so I've offered to work tomorrow night so I don't have to spend money on beer to hide the depressing football.

We all knew Jose was a deal with the devil. We all probably kidded ourselves for a while that he had changed, and some were kidding themselves well into his second season that he would change - many of whom are now the most vociferous people hoping he goes.
But deep down we knew what it would be - boring football and ultimate shambles but success in the meantime. He wouldn't leave us much better than when he joined, but we'd have a league title to show for it.
The problem is the devil hasn't upheld his part of the bargain.

Jose hasn't always played boring football though in the same way the park the bus rhetoric has been hammered. When he was at Chelsea once his team had gone ahead they often won even with narrow margins. I always thought of his teams being difficult to beat certainly as Chelsea manager. Unfortunately we don't have a prime John Terry in our backline. We have calamity Jones and 2 ageing converted wingers instead. I seriously think if the board were backing him, Jones, Darmian, Rojo, Young, Shaw, Valencia and even Smalling would be out of the door.

Having to deal with all of the negative things Jose brings to the table, without a league title to show for it is just painful.

I seriously think if the board were backing him, Jones, Darmian, Rojo, Young, Shaw, Valencia and even Smalling would be out of the door. He played good stuff for sure, mostly in the first half of his career but most notably at Real (where he was forced to play good stuff). But the reversion to the mean - defence first football, a siege mentality that changes from a siege on the team to a siege on him, and falling out with all kinds of people at the club - has always occurred apart from at Porto or Inter, both of which he left as soon as he won the CL so there wasn't a chance for this to happen. We all knew it would end in tears. And most of us, deep down, thought he'd play defensive football, partly because of the players at his disposal when he joined and partly because of the person he seems to become since he failed at the biggest club in the world (Madrid, not us).
