Im checking back in after a couple of years in the wilderness. Life happens. Thought we were ok and got the win. Loved Luke Shaw's performance and I was so so happy for the lad. Fred is a huge addition and could be a difference maker in big games this season. Dynamisim and looking after the ball exactly what we need. We got the win and on to next game v Brighton. I don't understand why we surrender the pitch and possession to lesser teams. We had the much better footballers on the pitch on Friday night but relinquished authority and played on the counter. I don't get it.

It was only our first game but the signs were there that we will play like we did last season, score if we are lucky then sit back and defend.
Is Jose not looking at how the more successful teams are playing? fast, attacking pressing keep the ball?

That's your opinion though. Were you happy when the fans booed Nani? Obviously it's personal choice but I think it's poor form to boo your own players . I can think of plenty of crap players that have pulled on the shirt but I would boo them. |
