Eddie Howe has done more than Conte, Zidane or Guardiola ever did before they were given huge jobs with fantastic players
Half of these big name managers are overrated big names and have only WON things at the biggest clubs.
How hard can it really be to get 4th or just challenge for the title within a few points when you spend what we do!
The cult of MANAGER in the PL is a joke in modern football

Why is Giggs there. Where are Nagelsmann, Tedesco, Kohfeldt, Jardim, Nuno, Gio van Bronckhorst even. Well, if Giggs wasn't on the list, the two other members on here who've voted for him would be asking why!
All valid shouts, the six others you mention. I think Karma has opened a can of worms here!
I stuck to the more obvious ones. If I didn't put Jardim it's because he's been signed up with the Saudi's so he could be put in with the other category. If mine wasn't on I'd just pick that one and state my preference instead.

The cult of MANAGER in the PL is a joke in modern football But isn't that what they thought with Moyes? Mid table manager who can climb up the table if we chuck in more cash? Doesn't always work like that and the environment is much tougher now than when Moyes was here. You also have to factor in the United tax for transfers. Eddie is probably not used to someone ratching up the price because it's a big club. Then if he signed some duds it won't be constantly brought up as a stick to beat him with forever more ? You think these owners will give him more time if he gets to 6th place after a first full season? Look at the disgraceful way Van Gaal was slung out before the Fa cup was even put in the trophy cabinet. They don't give a shit. It's all about the $$$$$ Even if the football improves and they can see progress do you trust them to give him another season because I don't.

In any event, if he had even the slightest sniff we were interested in him he wouldn't be talking to that lot. So we may as well put that one to bed. Unless the Saudis are about to buy out the Glazers and install him as manager...

Moyes was 50 years old had been around ages. He is a ditherer dull and so was his football and Everton were 30 times bigger than Bournemouth. If you look up the definition of 7th in the PL you see Everton. They are top 10 Club in England and had been before he joined. I never understood the Moyes deal, he is a good football man and safe pair of hands not a lot more It takes something extra to go from -17 and 92nd out of 92 teams in the football league, to where they are today and the way he wants to play! You are right though, it's unlikely at this stage, with this lot. They go for the big name every time, even Moyes was an easy choice

Lads I took the Moors all the way to the Premier league on FM, add me as an option. I'll do it for a small increase over my current wages - 10mil a year should do.

RE: our next manager:
We went for a mid table manager who had showed little sign of being able to step up. It was a complete disaster.
We then went for two managers who have better CVs than basically any other manager on earth bar two or three others. Neither a disaster like Moyes, but not good either.
There has to be a middle way. A manager that has achieved (whether through winning trophies or just punching well above their weight at a club) but probably has their best days ahead of them. Both Jose and LVG had wonderful CVs, but they were both past their best - and, if we're being honest, the signs were already there that they were on the way down.
We need to look beyond just trophies. Most of the managers with a CV like Jose or LVG - on the list above only Ancelotti's stands out as being on that level (Zidane's is amazing so far but too short a time as a manager to be on quite the same level as Jose IMO) - are also arguably past their best. More important than a bulging trophy cabinet IMO is being at the cutting edge of tactical developments, a proven commitment to attacking football and clear evidence of improving players, all in the recent past.

As much as I do like him, Howe is never going to get the job straight from Bournemouth. It's going to take one of the big hitters to take the risk first and for him to be in with a shout for trophies. I really hope someone does though as his football style really does tick all the boxes. It's not really straight from Bournemouth, he also managed Burnley inbetween his first and second stints. Honestly don't think Howe is the right man for this either. fuck it- close the club down. Well I meant he will have to get a job at one of the other big teams before he ever came to us. I can't see us employing from a lesser club anymore, unless you count Spurs.

Howe will more then likely go to spurs if poch goes to real in the summer and we will end up with Conte or somebody like that, and If Howe does well we will all be saying why the fuck didn't we make a move for him. Howe wouldn't be my first choice or second or third probably. But if we can't get poch i would much rather go for Howe rather then the likes of a Conte or ancelotti type.
