On the contrary - if we go for someone like Poch, I expect them to spend a huge chunk of money on his first summer transfer window, it's with Ole that I'd be concerned. If Ole is hired full-time it'll mean that he's done a spectacular job with the players he already has, which will be twisted in the board's mind to "we don't need to spend much in order to maintain the same result next season - if Ole managed to do so well with half a season, just imagine what he'll do in a full season after spending a bit of money." If ex players think Ole is being mugged off they will start moaning to the press unlike a different manager would imo. All things considered, I do expect us to have a serious reshaping of the squad this summer. There are 2 players that just need to be sold immediately (Rojo and Darmian), 3 more that should be sold (Smalling, Jones, and Sanchez) and 2 that need to be moved on (Valencia and Young if he insists on a 2-year extension). I like to think that we'll sign at least 3 players this summer - a CB, a CM, and a RW. Re-RW, we've just got to bring a proper one already. I don't mind Lingard that much but the lad shouldn't be a key member of our starting 11, say what you will but in my opinion, there are a lot of forwards out there who run a lot and also have something else to their game that we could bring to play in his place. The funny thing is that regardless of where we finish this season, with just a few right additions to the squad I can see us winning the league next year - especially if Rashford, Martial, and Pogba keep improving.

Valencia and Darmian should be out of the door. Absolutely pointless after the summer of them being here. I wouldn't be surprised if Valencia retires either! Rojo would probably fail a medical so I wouldn't get my hopes up. Unless he has a few decent games before the summer I think Pereria will leave. His contract is up in the summer. Jones should be sold but probably won't! If Young doesn't accept a 12 month deal then I'd move him on too. I can see Mata leaving as well ! A CB, RW , FB and a CM would give us enough to seriously challenge imo.

Alderwiereld, Ndombele and an exciting young attacker that can either play on the right or in the role behind Rash & Tony as they drift wide and cut back in, depending on what formation our permanent manager wishes to play.
I hope it's the latter because I think the 4-4-2 diamond suits our squad. Dybala would be my first choice for that role but he may be out of reach.

Do we trust ole in the market if he gets the job or do we still need the dof It's not about trusting the manager so much as not trusting the CEO. Personally, I think we should get a DoF in regardless of who comes in. Even Fergie worked very closely with Gill, whereas Ed just runs around like an ostrich attracted to shiny objects.

I’ve been following SMSs season from a distance. His stats are drastically below last years, hasn’t progressed at all after being the Serie A top scorer from midfield.

That and the 100 million being quoted for him by Lazio. He isn't worth the trouble., plenty of cheaper and arguably better alternatives out there.

I saw Milinkovic-Savic a few weeks ago (think it was the Napoli game) and he actually had a good game but that is literally only 1 of a handful of times I've seen him this season.
The hype has certainly died down a little but if that means his price drops a little as well he should still be on the radar.

I think a lot of the pundits and agents (and Lazio) etc were hoping he would have a killer world cup. Because Serbia weren't particularly good, he barely got the spot light on him. Couple that with not the best return individually this season (4 goals 1 assist in 30 games) and suddenly the world goes quiet. I think he has all the makings of a solid player. Hes 6 foot 4 and pretty strong. Can pass. Shoot. Theres no reason he shouldn't improve

CB: Koulibali/Skriniar/Alderweireld in that order. - £100/70/25m RB: Wan Bissaka - £40m CM: Ndombele - £70m RW: Sancho - £70m
£280 maximum ?
Renew Pereira contract Bring back TFM and Tuanzebe
these prices are rough estimates with a little bit more on top for our premiums of always over paying.
Jones - 15m Darmian - 12m Rojo - 5m Valencia - 0m Young - 0m (dependin on his contract renewal) Mata - 0m (dependin on his contract renewal) Loan - McTomminay
this isn't unrealistic. its a complete squad overhaul and it would get us back fighting for the league. id even get rid of Sanchez.
