if Jones is offered a new deal it says it all. the only way he should be getting a new deal is if his money goes down.
id also be a fan of bringing in Neves, but is he a b2b or a CDM. whats he like at intercepting, breaking play up, etc.

Unless Jones agrees to a paycut, I don't see how it is justified to keep him around. They don’t want to lose a transfer fee from another club? There’s no benefit apart from being a backup but if the gimps think they might lose out money wise then for them it’s a no brainer . My worry is it will be another excuse not to invest as we saw in the summer. We’ve had the happy with the squad trotted out already before the transfer window closed! |

That’s my concern with some of these players who are getting new contracts and should be no more than back up. We should be getting another FB in summer but I bet we don’t. No that's right but you also can get better players as back up then the 1s we keep giving new deals to ever season,. And yeah by keep giving them new deals means they will either play more then they should or they will be taking the squad place of better younger players imo |
