They also ripped down the protective netting at the East Stand, in and around the disabled section. Fuck me, they're at the Scum/ Rents level of hate at this stage. Absolute morons.

They apparently semi-wrecked 2 metrolink trams on their way to the game. Total scum.

Even if we get battered and knocked out in Paris (I'm going to go full Kevin Keegan here)..
..I'd love to see them get absolutely stuffed in the quarters.
The Qatari funded wankers and Di Maria can wallow in the European footballing gutter, if there's any justice in this world!!
Here's hoping.

I’m going to France in August.
I’ll make sure I have a poop in a public toilet and not bother flushing it afterwards.
My little way of pay back! 🤪🤪🤪

We’ll find out soon enough. In 3 out of the last 4 summer windows we’ve spent a lot of money. Not the most money but large chunks. Not all of it well but still. For me last summer is the key. Was it because the board thought giving it to an increasingly toxic manager was a waste or was it more worrying than that? Hopefully it’s because they didn’t want to give any more to Jose. Anything else and it’s difficult to see a way out of this mess. As much as the board and Ed deserve to be shat on and criticized, there is some sense to the argument that they didn’t want to further back Jose. Failing to get a CB was inexcusable but then they were right on Perisic. My feeling is they will back Ole if he’s named manager. It’s clear though we don’t have an unlimited budget like Ed wanted us to believe so the signings need to be spot on. And again that brings us back on the need for a DOF. The mere fact that the board was vetoing transfers at all is the problem. If the manager wanted Perisic they should’ve got him. If they don’t trust the manager, then sack him. Keeping a manager you won’t back anymore is a recipe for exactly what happened. We are hoping they will back Ole or whomever the new manager is, and as Stew pointed out above, there is recent history to suggest that will be be the case, in the short term. However, sustaining the investment necessary to take the next step into legit contention for the big titles is something they’ve never done. DoF is essential though, as Ole can only paper over the cracks for so long. Eventually the empowers new clothes manner in which we run this club will be exposed.

I do agree with this view but Persic in and potentially Martial out was complete madness from Jose. Incompetence of the Board aside, they accidentally did something right.

As ridiculous as it was for the board to lecture Jose on CBs, they were bang on about Martial/Perisic.

Yes they were, but if they doubted the managers judgement enough to veto his transfer requests then they should’ve sacked him. I’m not giving them any credit for doing the wrong thing twice and getting lucky once.

I think it’s more the fact he got someone for the left side anyway who probably cost more and ended up less productive. Being on a free ended up costing us more one way or another.

Instead of just moving them on when not up to it?

As for the rest, one lives in the Carrington medical facility and another is clearly a kid. Its quite obvious our defence isn't good enough. It's a pity Pep wasn't told to make do isn't it ? Coaching only goes so far!
