Absolutely foul mood today. Cannot believe that garbage . Especially considering how many gilt edged chances Lukaku wasted.

Also, in hindsight , Ole shouldn't have rushed Matic so soon into the starting lineup. Mctominay has been playing very well alongside Pereira and Fred . I think him alongside Fred and pogba would have been a lot more cohesive.

Anyone else notice how Pogba’s form’s dipped since he started with the stupid hair dos again? Maybe there was something to my previous (other thread) tongue in cheek comment?! 😄

Not too upset about yesterday.
It was just one of those games, we could have been 2/3 up by HT and their pen was so bloody soft.
Still a good few games to go and, in the end, finishing 4th will be redundant because we're winning the European Cup.

don't understand why Pogba started LM ?
finishing was shocking.
absolutely no way is that a penalty.
definite CL hangover. we cant afford to drop many more points.
I think were gonna struggle for Top 4 if im honest, we have a tough run of games

Guarantee it.

We're two points off fourth with 24 points to play for. In my view, I can't see Arsenal really sustaining a real challenge to get in there- first goal today was freakish and the second wasn't a pen. With Chelsea, they're really inconsistent. Problem is it's looking like we'll probably have to beat City at home which could well give the title to the Scousers!! Arsenal’s is the easiest run in I’m afraid Doesn't necessarily mean they're going to win every game, they were fortunate yesterday.

If anyone had to have the hangover it was them. This is a mixture of overconfidence and the return of the wretched Lukaku of old .

That was one of those games where NOTHING went for us,on any other day it could’ve been 0-4. Foul mood this morning reflecting on the game. Glad I’m not in work today!

Yesterday was just a very bizarre game. Neither side was great. They win through a bizarre first goal and a soft as fuck penalty. We were average but still should've scored 4 or 5. Rashford, Lukaku and Pogba were all off the boil.
One shining light was Fred. He was excellent again. Always amazes me how quick people are to write off players coming from a foreign league and playing in England and for us for the first time. I think they've been fair to criticize his performances but to say he's flat out not good enough and that we should move him on is short-sighted, as he's now beginning to show. See Lindelof for how these players need time to find their feet.
Young Greenwood looked so composed and confident when he came on as well. Won't be a huge surprise to anyone who has seen him in the youth sides but it's still good to see them seemingly take the step up in their stride. Such a bright future for him.
All in all I'm not worried. Ole's record so far is still exceptional. In terms of top 4, all 4 teams now in this battle for 2 spots will probably drop more points. Assuming yesterday was just one of those days, we're still by far the most in form of the sides in the battle and I think we'll get in there.

I've stopped commenting on this, it's not even amusing anymore - it's like some people have short memories relating to how many of our really top players took a season (or more) to fully adapt.

It’s worth remembering that Ed has somehow allowed Herrera to enter the last few months of his contract.
Because Ed.
