It’s a win and I should be happy but the response to the previous 2 losses and Ole getting the job was extremely underwhelming. It just emphasizes the lack of real leaders in the team right now. Shaw out of everyone was the only one to show captain material by his actions and play today. The rest, pathetic.

We played pretty well against Arsenal and lost. We were largely shite today and won. Thems the breaks.

It's, somewhat obviously, really good. 4 players scoring 10 or more goals just doesn't seem like a massive target that's all, I would of thought most seasons we have 4 players scoring 10 or more goals that's all, I'm. Pretty shocked that we havnt tbh Ah, gotcha. Like, I suspect, Bestie, I thought you were saying it was maybe really bad to have had 4 players reach 10 league goals this season, which seems an odd argument. But yeah, first time in 23 years just seems so wrong, surely! I mean, the great side of the late 90's/early 00's had 4 top class forwards as well as goal scoring midfielders in Scholes, Beckham and Giggs. They must have done it at least once! So I checked, in 98/99 OGS, Cole and Yorke did it. Beckham and Scholes got 6 goals, Giggs only 3 and Teddy only 2! The following season the same 3 did it again, Scholes got 9, Giggs and Beckham 6 and Teddy 5. (7 goals in 2 seasons? Come on Teddy!) 2000/01 just Teddy and OGS achieved it. Cole, Yorke and Beckham all got 9, Scholes 6 and Giggs 5. So yeah, well done lads, clearly a harder achievement than I had thought.

If we qualify for next season's Champions League by getting into the top four are we going to remember that we were turgid at home to Watford at the end of March??
It's about the 3 points.
Don't get me wrong I'd love to be smashing every team in April and May but sometimes that may not be necessarily the case.

Mata looks a but done, pogba had one of his nothing games, did well to win without a midfield.

I can add nothing more really, that was just “blah”. Quite an injustice to Watford really, they deserved at least a point. Pogba does my head in, how can “World Class” have so many off days?

Just home, was sat in the Stretford End today, turgid performance, dreary atmosphere, but 3 points in the bag after a mixed International week. Better than playing well and not winning.
On now to Wolves.

See some of these rags are raging over Martial's supposed "dive of the season". Guessing they've forgotten who Sterling, Mane and Salah are then.
Gobshites.

Because when he's good, he's really damn good. He wouldn't last in Madrid though, where a top player is expected to provide top performances week-in, week-out. Agree with the general consensus regarding the game - 3 points is all that really matters. Disappointed with the performance given that it comes after 2 defeats and Ole getting the job, hoped there will be more of a response from the players. This squad needs leaders and energy.

We are in the home stretch of fixtures and results like this are what make or break your season. Sure it was shit, but you just have to grab hold of the safety bar and ride it out. Winning 3 points on days when you should have been buried are part and parcel of any success.

Even more infuriating was that it was practically the first time we got in their box and I expected Martial to create something by playing football

On the flip side, our performances have declined recently and we might win the odd one playing shit but we aren't going to get anywhere playing like this

If we play like this for the remainder of the season then we'll be asking for it, but we know they're much better than that performance or the one against Wolves suggests.
