I think Martial was utter shit yesterday and is far too inconsistent, Iv obviously lost my mind. Still set up both the penalties. I'd rather he was on and trying things. He was shit and effectively won us the game.

It’s better than yours, Mata got fouled for the first penalty, Martial got taken out with a clumsy challenge for the second, giving credit for both is laughable. He was shite.

‘People are losing their minds’ that’s an insult, really? That was polite. I have to go out so I can’t continue this until later. However, you’ve just completely contradicted yourself, which isn’t surprising. You continually argued that neither Martial or Rashford performed well enough on the left which is why we were right to buy Sanchez and play him there. Several of us proved categorically that you were wrong with stat after stat and you just ignored us. Neither nailed down that spot in Jose’s second season and were rotated in that position quite often. Probably why we were after Perisic and eventually signed Sanchez? Jose wasn’t convinced with either of them. Sanchez failing doesn’t change that. And he was wrong. And that was one of any number of reasons why I’m glad he was fired.

2-3? Try ONE. He'll be 24 this year end. He's got to kick on next season or else it'll be tricky. We cannot pin our hopes on players who won't show up when needed. He's got to turn up. Fast. I was sure he’s 21 turning 22. Yup, time to start showing consistency pal! Not having a go. Who is a more consistent winger that wins points for their team in the PL? I'm curious as to who to compare Martial with.

I'm curious as to who to compare Martial with. That’s a totally valid question, and I wish I could provide you with an objective answer, but I hardly watch any football other than United these days, so my call for consistency re-Martial is based on my expectations of him considering how much potential he has and how frequently he doesn’t really show up. I’ll just state this again, I’m a huge fan of his, I think that he’s our most exciting player and one of the reasons I despised Jose was that I think he’s coaching was holding Martial back, but it’s OK to say that he has to produce on a more regular basis. It’s not about scoring or assisting every week, it’s about being involved throughout the game and making fans get off their seats.

I'm curious as to who to compare Martial with. I love Martial, but there are several. This season: Salah (had dips but still near top scorer in PL) Son (if he counts as a winger) Mane Sterling Hazard Sane (played less this season TBF, last season would be a better fit here) Maybe even Zaha (not as good as Martial's peak, but relatively consistent and wins points) Some, maybe even most, of those are debatable, but they're in the conversation at least.

They’ve had a ridiculously easy cup run. For all of Liverpool ‘s jammy luck they have nothing on City. They're a very good team Karma and I'm not being bitter, they're currently the best in the country but they don't compare to United '94,99,08, Arsenal 98,04 or Mourinho's original Chelsea juggernaut imo. Mourinho's Chelsea juggernaut had no competition IMO. They were a good side, with an aggressive owner who bought well while we were doing some major transitioning and rebuilding and nobody else was close to competing in transfers etc. They didn't have any European success of note either under Mourinho. They had some really good players to build on and were starting to look decent before he came in, were a bit unlucky the year before not to get to the CL final Also the dippers got to CL final last year and were a bit unlucky in fairness. They may get to one this year too There is more competition now than ever and the top 3 teams are City, Dippers and Spurs. The three teams with really good coaches , who have been in place for 3 years or more each. You are right, none of those teams compare to United's 1999 or 2008 teams, until they win a treble or even a league and CL double or 3 PL titles in a row.

BTW talking about lucky wins. Watford fucking handed Arsenal the 3 points last night. That was infuriating as I thought they might take some points. Deeney decided to live up to his tough guy against Arsenal BS and got himself sent off early and Foster had a complete howler to gift Arsenal a goal out of nothing 0-1.
Spurs without Kane, Chelsea, Arsenal and us are all pretty inconsistent at the moment, but Arsenal have a pretty easy run in on paper after last night

Nobody who actually watched the game would say they handed it to them. Good grief.
