Big difference with Ajax and the likes of us is its clear to see they want to play for the shirt and not the next pay cheque. Half of them will leave. They don't give a shirt about the Ajax shirt. Thank you.

If anyone on here doesn't think we actually need TWO fullbacks. Then surely tonight highlighted it We can't fucking score from open play!! A top striker is the number one priority during the next summer rebuild imo.

They probably will but that's not the point im making. They're putting 100% of the effort regardless of whether they leave or not. Compare that to our players that will do the same and leave and there's a huge difference. They don't want to put in any effort and some seemingly get away with it without any repercussions. Young being a prime example.

Just a reminder, whilst we were being wank, the Ajax team that we brushed aside in the Europa two years ago reached the semi. Amazing how much our paths have diverged since that game, when both teams had a lot of reason for optimism.
Both of us have largely similar squads to then as well. That’s only a compliment for one of the two teams...

Bit much to suggest OGS should not be in charge. Young and Smalling are both not good enough, no doubt, but they are the best he can muster at the moment.
If and when this defense gets replaced, you will see the gap close between United and some of these other big teams. Tonight highlighted just how poor the back 5 can be when forced to play in space.
There were glimpses of quality tonight. Followed by the same sort of poor mistakes that have cost United time and time again.
Bonus couple of games to be honest. United were a shambles this season and made a good run to get to the quarters. Give OGS a little credit. Far better teams in far better situations have been bounced by UEFAlona.

Valencia's on his way.
Jones, Smalling, Grant, Young, Darmian, Sanchez, Rojo, etc, etc, the usual suspects need to fuck off.
But when you're picking up 60K per week like Rojo and Darmian, and Young is on 110K per week thanks to Ed, they've fuck all incentive to leave.
It's a clusterfuck.

I just wanted to enjoy the ride. He then got us into a position where we can qualify for the top 4. Now, if he doesn't make it, it's a fail. Simple as that. And where did I say it's all Ole's fault? I said it's a fail, because it is.

If OGS gets anything out of this season it's a bonus. The season was a write off before he arrived, the fact we're still in the hunt for top in the middle of April is testament to him. If we finish outside the top 4 it's a blow, but it's harsh to say the least to criticize him too much for that.
De Gea has gone completely off the boil, he has made multiple errors this season. Still been very good in general to be honest, but when you're used to superb, very good suddenly looks like a complete drop off. The defence is the worse I've ever seen at United, seriously. We have 1 good centre back and 1 good left back. That's it. Dalot is very promising but not ready to play week in week out, and Young, Valencia, Rojo, Smalling, Bailly, and Jones are utter dog shite. Not one of them should be at this club next season. And yes, Lindelof and Shaw are "good". Not great, or excellent, or any other superlative. They are young and can improve, but at this moment they are simply good.
That's not on OGS. He inherited that mess. A great coach should be able to improve players, I agree with that, but there's only so much you can do. He needs to sign a pretty much whole new back line in the summer.
Pogba is an over-rated show pony. Turns it on when he can be arsed to. The fact that he is our main hope is not on OGS, he inherited that. Again, what he does with the midfield is down to him in the summer; turfing Pogba out should be priority number 1. Although, then we won't have someone to score 10 penalties a season to pad up his utterly ordinary stats and make it look like he actually had a decent season.
The fact Lukaku and Sanchez are draining this club of fuck knows how much a week, is not on OGS, he inherited that. Again, we absolutely need at least one new attacking option this summer, it's on OGS to get that signing right.

I agree he deserves credit for turning our season around, but he made a big error selecting young, one we paid for instantly. We have every chance of making the CL spots which would be a result after Joses mess. Personally i think the club should of held out to the summer before deciding on the manager but right now I just hope the club back him in the summer and get a director of football that can help build a squad over the next few seasons. That back 4 needs demolishing and rebuilt somehow. We cant fix the whole team in a window, so lets try and fix something this time around. Theres no quick fix here, the club has been mismanaged for 5 years, it could take 3 or 4 to get back and compete at this level. A lack of money isnt the issue its poor choices primarily.

This was a wake up call, CL quality sides; * don't limply lose the home leg * don't gift Barca 2 goals * don't squander 2 chances in the opening minutes after a strong start tonight * don't usher the other teams long shot specialist onto his strongest foot in shooting range.
We're simply not good enough but the frustrating thing about tonight was our strong start before we capitulated. Top teams don't let the opposition off the hook like that. Ole knows he needs a rebuild now, tricky thing is knowing who to keep, literally nobody is United quality.
