Worst ever defeat over two legs in Europe. Still Bayern Lev 2002 for me only because we bottled it and it cost fergie a date in Glasgow.

I’d rather those tossers than take Saudi money. They truly are an atrocious country and your hands are bloody if you are rich in Saudi. I’d rather have Saudis pump their money into the club for the benefit of bolstering the kingdom’s image rather then the gimps suck the money out of the club for their own financial benefit. They murdered a journalist on foreign soil recently have have been involved in near genocide in Yemen. If they want to bolster the image of” the kingdom” I’d start there vs owning a football team.

Yep but that’s where we’re at. The gimps have been that bad.

Everton, City and Chelsea to come.
I wonder if Ed will be sitting comfortably?

Did we ever take some of our old players for granted?! What I would give for Giggs, Scholes, Keane, Ronaldo, Cantona.

& I forgot Beckham who gets forgotten far too much these days. So many brilliant players & now we think Pogba is World Class? Pogba isn't fit to lace Beckhams boots.

Just a reminder, whilst we were being wank, the Ajax team that we brushed aside in the Europa two years ago reached the semi. Amazing how much our paths have diverged since that game, when both teams had a lot of reason for optimism. Both of us have largely similar squads to then as well. That’s only a compliment for one of the two teams... They lost a few players as well. One at Spurs along with the other one we swerved.

I never took the players and success for granted because I remembered the 80's. We were a cup team, could pull a decent result out of the hat now and again, but never really looked like challenging for the title save for one or two seasons. Basically 1980's United was Premier League era Liverpool.
But if you missed that and only got into football or United in the Premier League then yeah, it would be only too easy to take the trophies and players for granted and think this is how it always is.
It isn't, and we were bloody lucky to have that golden period.

I never took the success for granted. I always knew it wouldn't be the same after them & Ferguson but you'd have thought at some point you'd get another player who could hold a candle to them. Nope, not one. The only player we've had close to that range for years is De Gea. Not one player has been able to do anything resembling what so many of our former players did. It's ridiculous.

You're right it is ridiculous, club has been badly mismanaged basically since the Glazers took over. Fergie's genius masked these problems and he still won titles even after the squad was deteriorating badly, once he retired it's been panic buying and cluelessness since 2013. Woodward has to go or at the very least have no football remit, a DOF / technical director appointed, sell the deadwood and buy players that fit our blueprint. No more prima donnas, real United players, winners and let's get back to being Man United.

I think the frustration now though is due to sheer incompetence holding us back?
