We all know that if the club had any real ambition or appetite for change then we would have already approached someone who has experience and qualifications for the role.
It’s just a front for no real strategy and makes the club look like they are doing something when they aren’t. 7 months after Jose was sacked ( who didn’t want a DOF 🙄) we still haven’t appointed the DOF that we were supposed to before the manager was appointed . The same manager who wouldn’t be a rushed appointment.

John Murtagh seems to be getting mentioned a lot this morning as DoF. Marcel Bout has also been mentioned.
From what I can recall he's Dutch and he's the head of scouting at the club.

He has been at the club a good while and is experienced in that sense so it would not be a case of getting a novice onboard. I think the real issue regardless of who gets the job is Mr Woodward will still be calling the shots on the ins and outs, we need the business to be separated from the football really |
