For example Rooney scored 19 goals in 05/06 and then got 23 in 06/07. Ronaldo was the one that really took the leap, going from 12 to 23. As well as goals though there was a sense of maturity and being able to handle those huge moments in key games.
Rashford got 13 last year, Martial got 12. We need both those guys to exceed 20 next year.

same with martial, both need to step up this year I’m not comparing but there are similarities to the summer of 06 and the faith Fergie had in Ronaldo and Rooney. Both showed enough flashes up to that point but they took huge leaps forward that season. You have to hope the club have seen enough to think it could be the same. They’re still kids really but the time is now. Rashford is getting to that age now we're it either all clicks or it doesn't, the goal he scored the other day shows you he has it in his locker, let's just hope he can do that over a full season

We need him to do that a lot more but he has it in him.

We were absolutely written off before that season as well, everyone assumed Chelsea were set for a long period of dominance. Obviously I'm not saying we are suddenly going to become title contenders, but there is enough evidence on display that taking that leap of faith with some of these players may work to our advantage.

He def needs to get more than 20 I would be happy with 15+ from Martial if he also improved his all round game!

If Greenwood is a regular starter out of all of those,.my money would be on him to get to 20 first

Rashford, Martial, and Lindelof really upping their game would make a huge difference alongside any new players/youngsters coming in to the team. Plus, it's looking increasingly likely that's all we've got to hope for.

He also didn’t have chief knob head sticking his beak in. A totally different environment than what we have now. Gill didn’t think he was a football know it all.

Is it safe to say that Greenwood possesses more of the finished product compared to Rasford at the same age? It looks like it to me.

Rasher was a great prospect, but I don't think many thought he was ready to make a dent in the first team until we were forced to play him. Even then, goals in his early games aside, it took him a little while to look as composed as Greenwood does in the first team. You could argue that he still doesn't. Greenwood looks like a natural. Like he's been playing first team football for years.
