have to say that i've enjoyed the 3 pre season games so far. pretty much everyone in the squad looks solid, all the players showing desire and determination, the kids and new players showing tons of potential and its good to see that even pogba, despite his current transfer situation, puts in some hard work on the pitch and he doesnt look unhappy.
also nice to hear from ole that he is impressed by the way martial came back to pre season and how hard he is working in training.
scored 7 in 3, not conceded a single goal so far. and game by game they are growing, looking sharper and better. looks like ole and his coaches have done a good job so far.

Satisfying win today, some observations:
AWB WOW!! I said we'd overpaid, thought the money could have been better spent elsewhere etc, fk was I wrong lol. Feels great to have a right flank again.
Greenwood is the real deal, it's the most excited I've been about a youth player since Giggs, if his attitude is right the sky's the limit. Chong will give many a defender nightmares and win us quite a few penalties and freekicks. How is Ashley Young still a professional footballer? Great pressing from the team and possession play. Pogba was excellent also, have to give credit where its due.
Buy Maguire and Bruno and this could be a good season.

didnt they call him "spider" at palace? i certainly see why, you just cant get past this guy and his legs. awb really makes tackling enjoyable to watch. Indeed they did. TAA is outstanding going forward but I always feel he can be got at, his positioning can be suspect. AWB is streets ahead of him defensively. It’s almost pointless going at him, he doesn’t get beaten. |

They beat Lugano 2:1 on Sunday, but you’re absolutely spot on about these friendlies being influenced by pre-season training schedules. Good display overall for this early stage, but one thing that worries me is our inability to defend crosses. Haven’t had too many to deal with today, but on a couple of occasions we ( including DDG) we looked suspect. |

I've been on the Skriniar train for some time, but I'm not so sure after this game. Any player can have a bad game, but the way he handled getting outplayed by teenagers was poor. He probably should have been sent off.
Feel bad for Young. I'm not enthused that he's still part of the squad, but he doesn't deserve to get booed. Getting old and shit isn't his fault, it happens to every player. Accepting a contract offered to him isn't his fault, most people would have done the same. Fucking shameful what happened to him today.
