Signed a creative player that most of us wanted. Signed a back up striker on loan.
Not a bad window considering our rivals didn’t make any signings. Hopefully gives us enough to get top 4.

I mean, as an alternative to Ighalo, we could’ve started looking for a striker at some point before half 5 on deadline day. Think we had been looking TBF mate but you know how we do one deal at a time and Bruno took a while.....

Just looking at the squad now which is still paper thin and still lacking plenty of quality, but Fernandes added to maguire and awb, with ddg and rashford is a pretty good spine now, plus Williams who looks like he has made that lb his spot now and mctominay in cm, its getting there, but the summer will be massive tho now, pogba replacement. Rw and a top class striker.
The kid from inter would be my target for cf, plus sancho, I'd then be then be looking at adding a little bit of experience in cm
Well what actually happens is a tottaly different story tho.

Desperate for cover, we get cover, yet people still gripe. That's like saying we were a bit cold and people "gripe" because someone firebombed the house. Quite the metaphor, if a touch extreme. To maintain same, if we hadn't signed anyone, it would be like have a leaky roof (making it cold), waiting for the ropey roofer to go on holiday then the roof tiles blow off.

Ighalo isn’t the long term solution most here hoped for, but he’s here now. Can we get behind the lad, now?

He’ll outscore Sanchez if given the chances, I reckon.

Spurs needed a striker so did chelsea both have struggled, there isn't many out there especially in Jan, clubs just ain't willing to sell unless it was for crazy money There really aren't that many prolific strikers in the game anymore. At one point we had 4 excellent strikers, England had about 5 really exceptional ones. Even Barcelona were trying to sign Richardlson for 80m. Out and out goal scorers are like gold dust.

Hope he does well. Also, from a supporter's view it's great to see someone who is clearly a massive United fan get an unexpected chance to play for us. 'Mon Odion! Sidebar: We should be keeping an eye on Ollie Watkins at Brentford.

Out
Lingard. Pereira. Jones. Bailly - too injury prone. Martial - if he doesn't pull his finger out. Lingard.
In
Werner Grealish Koulibaly Sancho/ other right sided winger.
I know we won't get them all in but I'd like to see these targets being looked at.

You’re not a fucking idiot for thinking bringing Ighalo in is at best underwhelming. People are entitled to feel that way given the state we’re in. We were in for one of the most promising young talents in world football the other week and we’ve ended up signing a bloke who had a few good months for Watford years ago.
It’s not about getting behind him. Fans will get behind him because he’s a United player. Of course everyone will want him to do well. But people are entitled to feel dissatisfied with the signing.
As it goes, I’m not that arsed personally. We needed a body in and it is what it is.
