You’re not a fucking idiot for thinking bringing Ighalo in is at best underwhelming. People are entitled to feel that way given the state we’re in. We were in for one of the most promising young talents in world football the other week and we’ve ended up signing a bloke who had a few good months for Watford years ago. It’s not about getting behind him. Fans will get behind him because he’s a United player. Of course everyone will want him to do well. But people are entitled to feel dissatisfied with the signing. As it goes, I’m not that arsed personally. We needed a body in and it is what it is. No one has said anyone’s a fucking idiot over Ighalo. He is underwhelming. But it is what it is. |

I mean, as an alternative to Ighalo, we could’ve started looking for a striker at some point before half 5 on deadline day. There were a number of top level clubs across Europe looking for an emergency striker in January. Nobody was selling anyone of note - but we've come out of this better than most teams who were also looking. |

Shouldn’t be in a position to have to be looking for an emergency striker in the first place. |

Steven bergwjn.....will he be another that got away!!? We were linked with him, 25m spurs got him for. Could be a bargain and would predict he'll have a better output than Dan James 🤦♂️

Far more experienced at a better level than James is. Don’t get me wrong, James is struggling a little now but too early to write him off. If we were a better club he’d have barely started this season but because we’re a sham, a Championship player has been thrown into our first team in his first season at this level. |

Yep he was only meant to be a squad player, an impact player if you lie from the bench but like you say, as our squad depth is fuckin pathetic he's had to start!! Tell you what though, alarm bells started ringing when all the stories came out about the impact he'd made in training by shear work rate, he was setting the example by all accounts!! A young championship player coming in and embarrassing our senior pros with his work ethic, what does that say about our lads in training..... |
