First time Shaw got exposed continuously as the weakest of the back 4. At least that peno miss didn’t have the run up, he did hit it with power, unlucky. Actually looked like it meant something that he missed. Also liked Martial hold up play. Neves will be Neves.

I suppose it’s easy being wise after the event but I find the fact that we obviously don’t have a designated penalty taker is just ridiculous.
That’s a real head scratcher.

Also one of the most unconvincing performances McT has put in, in a while.

Fucking hell. So frustrating. It's a good point, but after that first half, the penalty miss, it should be 3 points. Tough place to go, but with the way it's gone, it's not good enough. Didn't create enough either. Lingard just does nothing. Luke shaw runs down the touchline for a few yards, stops and passes it back to his centre back. Fucking move your arse. We need 3 points. Mata came on and fucked up the 3 passes he made. Positive was a solid enough defence. AWB is a monster. Crazy he got booked. Jon Moss should have been sacked as a premier league referee years ago.

Every fucking manager we’ve had has pricked around with substitutes. Always taking forever. Lingard started the rot losing the ball from the kick off and James looked about 15. Both should have been yanked at 60. If we’re getting rid of Sanchez because we believe in Greenwood then 5 minutes isn’t enough.

Fucking load of bollocks though.. We didn't really create that many clear chances but still had several chances to bury it including the pen

Well, Santo showing us why he's definite;y one of the top 5 managers in this league. Who's your top 5 out of interest? Guardiola and Klopp are far and away the best 2 managers. Pocchetino and Santo make up the next 2. As for 5th, that's open for debate.

Not making subs until the last 10 mins infuriates me unless team playing well. Lingard was poor today. No excuses, should be dropped. How can you only give Mata 10 mins to play? 20 minimum!!
We never looked dangerous in second half.
More penalty nonsense. 4 misses is 3 too many. No more pens Paul.
Maguire had a great game bar that pass near the end! Lindelof shakey in 1st half oddly. Love AWB. Hatr how Shaw has so little urgency on the ball. Especially when we are needing to get forward.

Honestly there's a lot of promising signs there. Some of our attacking was sublime at times, most players played well, the defence was pretty solid and De Gea continued his return to his best form (even if he didn't need to make any outstanding saves). Most importantly, I think last season we would have (and indeed did, twice) lost that game.
But, there are some definite negatives:
- The obvious ridiculous lack of quality midfield reinforcements coming to the fore. This will look more and more criminal each week.
- Complete dereliction of duty for the equaliser, either from whoever was supposed to watch Neves or from the coaching team for not putting someone on him when he lingers in such a dangerous position.
- Pogba and the whole penalty situation. What the fuck? Feeds back into...
- Ole being indecisive, both in terms of clearly not having 1 taker and making his subs far too late.

4 points out of those 2 opening games is really not bad. we looked like we werent prepared for the way wolves came out in the second half but we should have been because that side can play football if they want.
and i repeat myself: maddison, neves, rice and sancho should be worked upon very very soon. those 4 MUST be the signings for next summer, some of them should have been here already.
