Every fucking manager we’ve had has pricked around with substitutes. Always taking forever. Lingard started the rot losing the ball from the kick off and James looked about 15. Both should have been yanked at 60. If we’re getting rid of Sanchez because we believe in Greenwood then 5 minutes isn’t enough. It's fucking farcical. He talks up Greenwood being so good, but gives him 3 fucking minutes to try and do something while Lingard plays for 80 and has me stuffing needles in my eyes..

First time Shaw got exposed continuously as the weakest of the back 4. At least that peno miss didn’t have the run up, he did hit it with power, unlucky. Actually looked like it meant something that he missed. Also liked Martial hold up play. Neves will be Neves. Bollocks about Shaw. Complete bollocks. Yeah, but he's ordinary really does it for a bit and is limited in what he does with the ball when he gets forward. He'll never be a great full back and again maybe my standards are high based on what we have had in the past

It's frustrating no doubt and over the length of the game we should of won, these will take points of plenty of teams, still plenty to learn but it's miles better then it was towards the end of last year Apart from missing the penalty what did we actually create in the second half?

Loved the first half pressed well really and thought we played well. Thought their arse went a little when they scored and that's where the midfield needs to calm things down which they initially didnt
Pogba wasn't great but played too deep. Lingard was poor. Defensively we were pretty solid but thought shaw was vulnerable
I have doubts rashford and martial will score 20 enough goals
It's as we knew some positives defensively but lightweight in midfield and up front
Options from the bench are limited

Martial could have had a Hat-Trick first half if he just put his foot through it like his goal.

2 points dropped. Don't let Pogba take pens.
I'm annoyed about that.

Spot on GNev. This is a Manchester United penalty, not a playground.

Don't get me wrong. Still largely positive from us. That first half was a joy but the 2nd half was typical United in the last 6 years. So predictable. We do look like we did when Ole first came in though.
Still convinced it's going to be a good season. I guess at least 2 of the other teams in the top 6 will lose at Wolves.

Unless you are exceptional at penalties, if you’re not a forward then you don’t take the penalties. You want your strikers getting goals, a peno is almost a free hit. Particularly when we have two young ones who need all the goals they can get. Bruce, Lampard were exceptions.

Dissappointing result considering the chances we had. Anyone can miss a penalty but when Rashford is that good at penalties he has to be taking them. It really doesn't matter who won the penalty. You wouldn't have took that penalty off Ruud or a Shearer ffs but despite that the penalty takers are normally chosen before matches and there should be no doubt whos taking them. I doubt Pogba was the designated penalty taker. Those are the unprofessional moments that cost you games.

I think this is the first time I've been really annoyed at Ole. Maybe we wouldn't have won even if he was more decisive about penalty takers and substitutes, but his decisions there (or, rather, lack thereof) definitely harmed our chances.
The confusion over penalty takers is unforgivable recently. Something that should be one of the simplest things to sort out beforehand.

Nothing much clear cut.. A lot of players were leggy by 65 and Lingard and James should have been addressed much earlier

We’re making some strides. Bar a 5 minute spell they created nothing and a wonder goal cost us 2 points. We’re ‘likeable’ again and we have potential to be exciting. But we all know we’re a player short. It’ll cost us a few times this season as it did tonight.
