Watch the replay of Williams’s goal: he scored then takes 3 or 4 steps that might turn into wild joy... but then shrugs it off and runs normally back to his position. No big deal, first senior goal, no big whoop.

Mine at least are aimed at Ed for the most part. But in part also at Ole's constant positive PR spin. Managerial ability aside Ole is part of the problem now. So will every manager be. Ye have to get over it. Otherwise I will expect to see the same shit levelled at all future managers under them! People need to get over this whole "speak your mind against the owners" shit. You do it against your bosses first and then expect it of others. Ole seems to want to actually fix things, rather than coming here for an easy payday.

Hope that is Jones' last game for us.

Hope that is Jones' last game for us. Would be nice to see the back of a few of them to be honest. Another window or two and there should be no excuse to use them. Ideally.

I don’t think it’s realistic to expect Ole to publicly condemn the owners and Woodward. Have there been many examples of managers talking shit about the person who can fire them (serious question)? This is a 6th or 7th place side with Pogba and McTominay fit. They are not Top 4. If we get some new blood in January then we could expect a top 4 finish. Without? No chance, and everyone knows it. Ole said about all he could in that conference: our performance overall was not good enough, no shots on target first half is unacceptable- but Williams took his chance well and the fight back showed some spirit that was lacking last term. None of that is controversial. I expect him not to outright lie to cover for the owners and Ed.

Jose did it the wrong way but he didn't bare-facedly spin for his bosses.

Jones is shit but it’s not his fault that the prick CEO gave him a new contract, Jones should have been moved on years ago.

And he still got grief for being Jose and doing it the Jose way. Literally no one can win no matter what.

Mad, how a draw can feel like a loss after being 2-0 down.

Not going to repeat the general disappointment with our performance. A huge positive is the flashes of brilliance from our youngsters. Williams had a stinker but my god did he take his goal brilliantly. Had little time to think what to do when that clearance landed to his feet. It was pure instinct. He saw the goal and bang. Fucking wonderful. Unfortunately, this highlights an issue on the other flank. I’m a huge AWB fan, but if he continues to be useless in attack then we may have gambled on the wrong horse here. I hope he can be coached into some sort of attacking threat as he is (normally) brilliant defensively, but right now this is not good enough. AWB isnt a modern fullback, at times i think he would be better at centre back, hes physical enough to play there, pacey and a good defender. In the modern game fullbacks have most of the space as central areas are full of bodies. So having quality at fullback is a huge bonus now. You just have to look at the teams winning trophies to realise that.

You just have to look at the teams winning trophies to realise that. as in RCB in a back 3? with sancho as a 10 and haaland on the left wing? maybe mctominay as a striker and lingard as defensive midfielder? the kid wan bissaka cant even get a break from some people, wanting him to be played in a different position. he's been good defending so far, most tackles in the league i think. we have been crying out for a right full back who can actually defend for years and years. he is a young lad who needs to improve and add to his game, just as all young players do. that just doesnt happen over night. and while he does his main job that is defending in the right back position pretty well, others want to see him in a different position...

Ole has got to be desperate for January reinforcements but I don’t think it would do the squad any good for the manager to say live on air that the players he has aren’t good enough and it’s a crisis. We’ll see what happens in January, and if Ole doesn’t get his players and *then* starts spinning for Woodward, then we can get the pitchforks out.

Wan Bissaka is the least of our problems, maybe he should get more crosses in but he’s done well so far, Lindelof has been a disaster though, he’s not going to get any better either.

I'm not going back to find the exact alternative Ole could give the last time that excuse was suggested. Something like: 'I couldn't be happier with the effort of the lads we have in the squad but I think everyone can see the impact injuries have had on the group. The boys need some support. We will definitely be looking at additions in January.'
