I expect him not to outright lie to cover for the owners and Ed. Sure, and I agree generally, but where was the lie in today’s conference? Ole has got to be desperate for January reinforcements but I don’t think it would do the squad any good for the manager to say live on air that the players he has aren’t good enough and it’s a crisis. We’ll see what happens in January, and if Ole doesn’t get his players and *then* starts spinning for Woodward, then we can get the pitchforks out. He might aswell, everybody else knows it

He might still need those bad players at some point so he can’t publicly denounce them. As for January reinforcements - everyone is aware we need them. We just have to wait. Good enough: DeGea, AWB, Lindelof, Maguire, Williams, McT, James, Pogba, Rashford, Martial, Greenwood. Of those, probably right to ship out Pogba and Martial for attitude and commitment reasons.

Jose did it the wrong way but he didn't bare-facedly spin for his bosses. Thats Jose though. And he still got grief for being Jose and doing it the Jose way. Literally no one can win no matter what. I actually appreciated his veiled comments. He was turning miserable but at least it was obvious who his comments were aimed at and everybody was noticing it. Pundits, fans etc..

Didn't he say just that before the end of last season, before adding a few months later he was happy with the squad going into the season?

Hope that is Jones' last game for us. I blame him for the first goal and for making me wish Smalling was still here

Bang on. Being out of any meaningful league challenge this season, I find myself more relaxed about what needs to be done in January. Unless our top priorities are available I'm not totally against getting people on loan. Yes, we're MUFC, fuck Ed and look at Atletico and that set of arguments is fair, but there's little we or Ole can do about the structure of the club.
I'm quite thrilled with this:
---------------DDG--------------- AWB--Maguire--Tuanzebe--Williams ------McTominay--- ----------- --------------- ---------------- James-----Greenwood-----Rashford
It's a young core that can take us forward for years to come. Far from the finished article, and the road can be bumpy but get those 2-3 additions spot on and things could get interesting again. This set of hungry young players don't need Pogba and Martial to stink the place with their attitude. We have Shaw, Lindelof, Dalot, Garner, Fred, Gomes (?) as cover. Selling Pogba and Martial should easily cover the new additions, so we could be competitive again even under the constraints of the current ownership.

It was tongue in cheek mate. I know he's not doing to do it publicly Of course they're not all bad apples but as this season goes its getting clearer which ones don't fit the mold.

Need to get this verified but saw a star that said-
Since Ole was made permanent we’ve taken 25 points out of 22 games.
Can that really be true? It’s appalling if it is.

Their equalising goal was so poor, gets worse each time you watch it. Lindelof so so weak once again. Needs benching with Axel coming into the side.

I have never understood changing a formation due to a few unavailable/ injured players. Basically admitting we have no particular tactics/ style of play. Garner is similar enough in the things he does for the side that he should have come right in for McT. Absolutely shocking in the first half due to that set up. We go up and Ole reverts back to 5 at the back instead of bolstering the midfield, in the process bringing off the “glue” going forward that has been Martial. It’s not a cup final we had the momentum. Even if the squad is not top 4 quality right now they will be held back by his short comings, subsequently we are mid table still.

Also completely MUTV to say this about Lingard live after he blasts one way over.
“One will go in for Jesse sooner or later.”

Started off the game with such a poor selection we were rightfully down 2 goals and lucky it wasn’t more. Changes were made which helped change the tide of things but we ended on the note we started on, poor selection! Obvious to everyone we should have kept attacking as the defenders were just not at it yesterday, we could have gotten another goal. Could have gone the other way but based on what I saw defensively I’d rather we drew by continuously attacking. Sheffield United were on the ropes

Not much else he could've done really, without conceding a penalty. IMO. I'd need to see it again, but feel Maguire could've done more to block the shot.

Slow to the ball then gets muscled off it by their #11 whoever it was. Thought he was weak anyway. People are right in saying Maguire hasn't done enough so far but I think Lindelof has been worse.
