Chiesa made me a a total believer yesterday. Top top player Bayern want him bad according to many. They sure do and aren't hiding it. Not gonna happen, they won't pay the fee required and i genuinely do not think he has any appetite to leave with Allegri just arriving. Bayern should leave this one alone and make the most of Coman, Sane and Gnabry, heck they can even play davies as a winger |

Just on England, it's all good and well nurturing youth etc and bringing then in, but it's all very pointless if you won't play them and take the hand brake off.
Sancho, Rashford, Bellingham, Grealish are all top attacking talent that Mr Southgate really did not utilise to maximum effect.
If you play rice and Philips i am of the opinion you play Grealish as they can do the dirty work and he offers more of an attacking threat than Mount.

Its been said, so I wont over-emphasize it, but Ole..., I mean Southgate lost them that match.
playing 5 at the back when at home in a European Final is laughable IMHO. When at home you aren't expected to play not to lose, you go out, excite the crowd, and play to win.
Stupid starting line-up and no tactical adjustments of real intent caused SOlethgate to lose England that final.

Just like ole he should have been a just stop gap between one manager leaving and another starting. both will only take their teams so far(and both have done that this year) |

That just makes me sad, some people are fucking rats, I'm a white man so will never understand that, but my wife is mix race and some of the stories of shit she used to get when younger is horrible, especially when lads used to try it on with her and then she would say no and just get a load of racist abuse, people are cunts. |

If he bangs them in all the time in training that is all that counts. Doesn't matter that Luke Shaw has actually scored a penalty in a cup final only a few months earlier and had sky high confidence on the back of an absolutely fantastic competition. Or that Trippier scored a fantastic penalty against Colombia in the World Cup and was the only Atletico player to score in the cup final against Real Madrid. Yeah Pickford then Phillips. Really feel for Rashford. He's a fantastic penalty taker and usually you'd bet on him to score. But he's had a tough year and as he's self aware enough to realize he is low in confidence and out of sorts and it is a lot of pressure when he wasn't given any real chance to contribute to England getting to the final and then has to take a crucial penalty. He'd never be one to shirk his responsibility or pass the buck. So he must have just swallowed his heart, stepped up, and hoped for the best. Really if Southgate was a better man manager he'd have understood Rashford's personal situation better and chosen someone else to take that penalty. Or at the very least given him a proper run out in extra time to help him burn off some nerves and get on the ball instead of playing right back in the dying minutes.

Talk about role models and all of that, Marcus is considerably younger than me, but I admire him massively. I can only imagine how I’d feel about him if I was a kid. He’s an exceptional human being and the abuse he gets is born from jealousy. He’s a talented, young, working class black man and unfortunately those things put a target on your back. |
