The comment about them being scapegoated wasn't necessarily a because they're United players, more of an observation that it always seems to be our players, whether consciously or not. Obviously someone like Beckham can't offer them advice on how to deal with abhorrent racist abuse but these cunts wouldn't have been abusing them if they'd scored the penalties, not after this game at least. In that way they're connected in the sense they've all received abuse off the perceived letting down of their country. |

Yup. Racist twats are targeting Rashford because the colour of his skin, but Rooney, Phil Neville and Beckham all got it as well after previous tournaments and they are white as snow. If Rashford was called Paul Smith and could camouflage himself standing in front of the white cliffs of dover he'd still be getting abuse, because he plays for United. Southgate, Pearce and Waddle never got anything like the same level as the United lads did. |

Rashford is burnt out and the penalty miss was probably the culmination of that as he himself suggested. Ole will help pick up the pieces but the best way for Rashford to get over this is to have a good World Cup and for that to happen his game time needs to be managed carefully the way Cavani's is so he can recover from his injuries and get back to top form.
