Slow first 30 or so but good the rest of it and don’t think we were anywhere near top gear. Could’ve scored 6 or 7 easily.

Love that Villa look like going down after spending about 120M or so on literally an entire new team, just a year after Fulham did likewise. Good, how about actually trusting some of the players that got you promoted in the first place and giving them their chances in the Premier League. Sheff Utd have, look at them. And John Terry. |

That should be 5th place secured now, 6 points clear of Wolves, 7 of Sheff Utd.
If City are banned then that's all we need but I really really hope the team kicks on and still gets 4th or 3rd regardless.
We need to show we are back as a genuine force in the league again, finishing 5th doesn't do that. I mean 4th doesn't either really, but it means Champions League football on it's own merits, not due to another club getting banned.
Add Sancho to this attack and it could be genuinely terrifying, already one of the best in the world, in a few years time it could be insanely good.
Pogba's upturn in performances is great, even if he's going it means we're likely to pull in decent money again, the way he had been playing, who was going to stump up the funds for him? And if he plays like this and stays? Well that's great news for the club as well obviously.
I honestly don't know who is the most ridiculous out of Fernandes or Greenwood. Neither are supposed to be doing what they are doing. Their stats are mental. Greenwood, you're a kid, you're supposed to score a couple of goals this season, in the league cup, and look out of touch in the league. And Bruno? You just arrived half way through the season from abroad, what happened to taking a while to find your feet, get used to the pace of the league, etc.

Pogba has given a really mature interview there. Captain-esque. (Not saying we should make him Captain.)

We’ve scored 100 goals this season in all comps. Ole deserves great credit. Mason is an incredible player. Thought Pogba played well. Bruno put the penalty away well.
Bit surprised we didn’t score more in the last half hour, but we’re totally going in the right direction. Going forward get a centre half partner to play alongside Maguire within the back four and possibly a right winger - I can see us at least competing for the title next season. At least a couple of good additions to the squad and we’re in the mix I think.
Grealish didn’t convince me at all, I’d be looking elsewhere if we’re bringing in another player in that area of the pitch.

Why don’t they stop the clock for these water breaks? Why don’t they just bin off the water breaks? It’s ridiculous that they are still happening. I read today that the water breaks are actually there because every player has their own water bottle to minimise the potential spread of coronavirus. Because they each have their own bottle that only they can touch, it's only practical for them to get a drink when the game is actively paused. So the drinks break is there because it's the only time in the half the players can have a drink. That actually makes sense. No idea why they haven't publicised that explanation, as we've all (including me) been moaning about how much of a nonsense it is to have them when it's 15 degrees and raining. That also means that there's absolutely no justification for them if/when we get a vaccine, so that's good at least. |

Did you notice he said we only have two goals this season - win Europa and win the FA Cup. No mention of CL qualification. Obviously we all know that deep down the club's priority is always 4th, but it was nice of Pogba to at least humour us. |

Someone's about to shoot so I'll just turn my body away from the ball?? Put yourself on the line and block it you clown. Reminded me of someone (don't know who) for Palace a couple of seasons ago for Matic's 90th minute winner, done the same thing. I get you mightn't want to get a deflection on it as that might make it worse, but fuck me you make yourself big and block the shot, turning away is horrific.
And surely he could have intercepted the ball from Fernandes to Pogba as well?
