Turned it off at half time. Infuriating watching a bunch of fringe players doing little to try and impress. Dan James is not good. Was thinking he was just lacking confidence a few months back but he’s just fucking useless. Does pretty much nothing well. Give him a chance next season in the squad to try and progress but he’s going to have to improve an absolute tonne. If or when Sancho comes in a loan move might do him the world of good and may be the best option aswell. |

We could do with Sevilla getting done by Roma. They have been in sensational form since the restart. Roma have won 7 and drawn 1 if their last 8. Slight oversight. |

Those 4 initial games seem like an anomaly compared to the rest of the season. |

Don’t get the talk from some in the media that we need a new starting centre forward. Martial has been as good as anyone in 2020. A player we all knew had bags of talent is finally realising it.
What we do need is a more experienced striker who gives us something different from the bench.

What we do need is a more experienced striker who gives us something different from the bench. Agree. It's the same for all the talk of Haaland. I mean, he looks a talent for sure. But so does Greenwood, and Martial has excelled as a number 9. For the life of me I don't get why we'd go big for another striker, it's clear as day if we're going all in for a superstar it needs to be Sancho, then an older, cheaper striker could come in to help out for a couple of seasons. I said the same last summer, and thought we should move for someone like Benzema, or Auba if he wanted out of Arsenal. I've not changed my mind on that; get some 31+ year old to give us a couple of seasons and an option on the bench, then he can leave when Greenwood is 20/21 and Martial 26/27. Splashing out mega money on Haaland or Kane? Why? Especially when we have a good few other areas of the team/squad that require more urgent surgery. |

I think he lost his father just after he signed for us to be fair to the lad so that would have naturally have an effect on him. There was an initial spell were he was really good for us, he had a purple patch scoring goals. He scored an outstanding goal away at St. Mary's versus Southampton if i'm not mistaken. His confidence looks shot to be honest, he's now running the ball out of play etc. I still wouldn't totally give up on him. Also, it seemed like he was getting thrown into the team in that wing position when we were initially thinking of just gradually putting him in to the first team. Personally, i'd wait and see with Dan James - i'd give him next season. |
