Ole's said a few things:
If you take your chances you'll win, but that's not always the case and we could/should have scored more.
We have a young team, three years younger on average than theirs, and we had spells showing this group have to learn and show more consistentcy.
Their 'keeper had a fantastic game. The whole move for their second is disappointing from us.
We should have had a second penalty, but that's football.
Since February we've been fantastic, but it's disappointing to go out here.
You can see how tired these players are, so we'll have our break and go again soon.
"We definitely need to improve [in the transfer market] if we want to move up the table and make more progress in the cups." He then deflected the rest of the transfer question, but the interviewer followed up, so he said "we're working to imrpove what we have... we're always looking to improve the squad. It's not about marquee [signings], it's about improving the squad. We will look at today and see where we need to improve. I won't comment on other team's players."

Well yeah but I'm sure that Fergie changed water into wine every evening too. You cannot compare what the single greatest manager of all time did with some bellow-par players to what a manager whos in the beginning of his career is doing.
Beginning of his career? He’s in his late 40’s.

Fucking hell we made another keeper look the best in the world because every shot was straight at him how many chances did we waste 10? They get a couple of chances and put them both away, DeGea shit for the first and the CBs at fault for the 2nd because they don't have any understanding and never will,Lindelof is shit, Harry slow to react, Rashfords form and attitude are piss poor but a weak squad means he starts because there's fuck all on the bench.

It’s still a pathetic trophy. The empty stadiums and that Covid tournament in Germany make this even worse. Still, not being able to score from open play for 210 minutes against average opposition only highlights how far behind we are at the moment. In think we have a good young core on which to build and make the next step forward. This is a big (but short) summer. Stop watching football. Hardly relevant. The EL is a pathetic trophy, and has been for years before the pandemic. The mutant that is this summer tournament makes it even worse. We were below par in these last two games. Still some positives to take from this season. I will definitely stop watching football now for a well deserved 4-week break |

Well ,Ole either has to catch the first flight to Miami, although he can’t because of the lurgy, so he’ll have to Skype those parasites when they’ve risen from their coffins , or hold a presser as soon as possible and say “ta ta, I told Woodward and the the board that I needed player’s X ,Y and Z to make us competitive next season ,and they never responded to my requests”
That, or, “I’m really pleased with this group of lads who will improve as a unit ,so we’re not really looking for anyone else.”
Oh please Ole, don’t let it be the latter.
This has NOT been a bad season per se in terms of where we finished (the vampires in Miami will be delighted with the extra money/kudos of playing in the Champs League will bring including more noodle or tractor manufacturers ), but in losing three semi-finals in one season it has been utterly dreadful.

I'm still behind Ole. You cant blame him for tonight. Think now he's made it very clear he has no faith in his bench. We need investment.
People focusing on the fact we've been knocked out of 3 semi finals and the fact Ole Out is now even trending. Fucking hate out fanbase at times.
Instead focus on the fact hes got us a top 3 finish and 3 semi finals in his first full season. Nobody would have expected that. Give him what he needs to get the job done. Or we'll end up going fucking backwards again.

You are welcome to ignore it then. What’s the point in dismissing other people’s posts? How did you see this going? Coming on to post on a thread where everyone is pissed off at losing, telling us not to bother as it’s a pointless trophy? In your head how did it play out? Because if it was you annoying the shit out of everyone then well done. I didn’t like losing one bit but I have an opinion about the trophy, and this season’s tournament in particular. What’s to get irked about. As the other post pointed out, is it a shit trophy only when we are in the CL? If anyone was pissed off to a level that prevents discussing the merits of this summer tournament then please accept my sincere apologies |
