Seems like Merson is back on the drink.
Hope he gets the help he clearly needs, such a sad sight when someone relapses in a big way, and in public too.
âDonny Van de Beek looks like a panic buy at Manchester United. I donât get it. They just spent ÂŁ40m on a position where they are already strong,â he told the Daily Star.
âAnd how does he play with Paul Pogba and Bruno Fernandes? You have to have someone who can play the holding role.
âThat signing looked to me like: âOh we havenât bought anyone yet, letâs go and buy someone, who can we get?â
We're all here for you Paul, try and stay strong, you can beat this.

Needs to have a word with his agent and ge thim to shut his mouth for a bit. They'll be plenty of time to complain but give it more than a month first FFS. www.skysports.com/football/news/11667/12085670/donny-van-de-beeks-agent-criticises-man-utd-for-using-midfielder-as-substituteDonny van de Beek's agent has criticised Manchester United's treatment of the midfielder, and claims they should have been beaten 7-1 by Brighton last weekend. Van de Beek signed a five-year deal with United after arriving for a fee of up to ÂŁ39m from Ajax earlier this month, but has played in just 24 minutes of their two Premier League games so far this season. Despite his lack of football, Van de Beek was still able to make an impact in both of those appearances; he scored on his debut in United's defeat to Palace, and helped to earn the penalty that led to their winner at Brighton. But Ole Gunnar Solskjaer's decision to place his client on the bench has not impressed Sjaak Swart who, before becoming an agent, spent nearly 20 years as a player at Ajax, where he was part of their famous side that won three consecutive European Cups between 1971 and 1973. Swart told Dutch outlet VoetbalPrimeur: "A substitute; I don't like it at all. "I couldn't do it, coming on with four minutes left. You'd have to leave me on the bench.

It seems very early for him to be moaning. If itâs similar in 25 games maybe but otherwise shut it.

It seems very early for him to be moaning. If itâs similar in 25 games maybe but otherwise shut it. To be fair, I am willing to bet a lot of money that with four minutes left and 2-1 up, virtually every single one of us was asking what is the point of subbing vdB on at that time. He's also better than Pogba and should be starting ahead of him. It is early though.

But the one thing that does not make sense,is he had more rest & more of a proper pre season that most of our players & can't get in the side, ahead a player recovering from Covid? Perhaps the agent feels that they have been told a few porkies?
