That’s because top strikers not only finish chances they also make those chances by being in the right place at the right time. both martial and rashford consistently lack both(especially the latter) There is not even the need for a debate,Cavani is the best 9 in the premier league. Except he's not and its Harry Kane. He is however our best 9.

To be fair, Pogba has been outstanding since his fat agent shot his mouth off. If he’s gonna play like this every week, pay him what he wants. Can we cut out this name calling every time Ole doesn’t pick Bailly. He was awful tonight and almost cost us the match. VdB isn’t the first player RoM has anointed the second coming if only the *insert pejorative here* manager wasn’t an *insert other pejorative here.* Tosic, Ljajic, Januzaj spring to mind. Perhaps the manager does actually know know more than us. Just a thought. Also, just so I’m clear, a club legend has come back to manage us when we were complete trash, has us top of the league, which hasn’t been done since Fergie, and there are people on this board who habitually call him every name in the book and want him sacked. Furthermore, they hope he wins the league so he can leave. That is what I just read, right? Are you really comparing a player who's played and performed at the highest level and cost £35m+, to three largely unknown players who cost less than £10m combined?

One game at a time and all that, but the next 6 league games are all very winnable:
Sheff United (h) Arsenal (a) Southampton (h) Everton (h) West Brom (a) Newcastle (h)

Life comes at you quick lads. Enjoy the moment when you’re in it rather than worrying about the wheels maybe coming off.

To be fair Januzaj was given more opportunities than VdB despite VdB being a key player in an Ajax team that won titles and played in the later stages of the CL as well as being a regular in the Dutch national side. I really don't understand why we bought him if he's just going to get 5 minutes here or there. £45m for a player the manager doesn't really value or want doesn't inspire confidence for me. It's obvious that Ole has no interest in rotating his squad and when he rotates the midfield it's either Matic, Scotty or Fred that get rotated so that indicates that he only sees him playing in Brunos position. If you look at his time at Ajax, he would regularly play in a front 3 or centrally in midfield and he's been known to play there for Holland.

What I don't understand is why Ole apparently doesn't see the player in Donny that we see... ...or is it just that he is too scared to rest Bruno? Either way, it is a shit situation for Donny and If I were his agent, I would be looking around for another club...and Ole has gone down somewhat in my estimation for treating him this way...

It's not even as much Donny not getting any games, every man and his dog can see Bruno needs a rest and he won't rest him, he will run him into the ground which will cost us in the end, last night against a shite Fulham side was the perfect game to rest Bruno, and I'd even rest him against the Scouse to, from the position we are in now we need to go for the league, the squad isn't good or big enough to go for three comps.

Fairly certain Ole could just admit he's shit scared of resting Bruno and some people would still contort themselves into pretzels trying to justify him.

I don't even think it's that anyone has 'anointed' van der Beek as anything. It is exactly your point about why spend that money to sign a young, clearly talented player and then not even give him chances to impress. It's farcical.
