Great to see Shaw playing so well, just a shame it took £50mill+ being spent on another player to see him start to reach his potential, especially at a time when the club is struggling financially. And there was me thinking it was the managers job to improve players. Shaw is finally playing like we hoped he would , club finally have a decent backup on LB (as a big club should have) I really dont see what is your problem here. Also didnt Telles cost something like £13million ?? his problem is that he is trying so hard to find and create negatives in everything that is happening in and around the club. despite some good arguments from him every now and then, i cant take his opinion serious anymore. the above is a good example of someone simply refusing to understand logic.

I won't say I respect the opinion you offer because that also gets me flack, but there is a reason why I look at things differently to a lot of people. What is/as been going on at the club, since 2005 is not good enough,we were lucky to have the greatest manager of all time to paper over the cracks for 8 years. Since his retirement it's simply not enough in every aspect.

Regrettably,I'd have to say the same about a couple of others, but there we are.. As an example Shaw has been pretty terrible especially since he broke his leg,in & out the side, very inconsistent when in it. We sign the first real competitor he's had, which we cost circa £50 mill all in & he presto,if it wasn't for Bruno,he would currently be player of season. What is irrational & dense about that, other than if differs from someone else's opinion?

I'm not saying it's a waste of money because we now have the best LB in the premier league by country mile,my point is that it's taken that to get it.

I think it was Stewart that said this a few days back when we first went top of the league: Life comes at you fast. Enjoy the good moments.
We're all well aware of the problems at the club. The leeches that own it. The buffoons that run it. The deadwood still on our payroll.
But that doesn't mean there isn't some good for us to enjoy.
Let's enjoy Shaw becoming one of the top LBs in Europe this season. Let's enjoy McTominay stepping up to become a quality squad player, who to be fair has put in some really solid performances for us in the last couple of years. Let's enjoy Cavani putting the ghost of Falcao to rest (too soon?)
Let's enjoy us scoring NINE goals in a game which, let's be honest, we wouldn't have been surprised if we drew 1-1 after the week we had had before.

It’s a shame we had that listless performance against Sheffield United. If we’d done the job there, got a point at Arsenal and battered Soton, we’d be right bloody there.
