Very funny rumour doing the rounds. Barcelona want to exchange Griezmann for Lindelof after their negotiations to exchange him for Saul fell through. They need to lower their wage bill and Koeman wants a defender. I don't want that racist prima donna scumbag anywhere near this club.

Tatty is right, if they want that deal, you it. Throw is perreira to if it makes it quicker. Griezeman is a class operator and works damn hard too on the pitch, so far as he wages dial down under £300k a week do it. I am massively surprised city haven’t made a cut price move for him, he would fit peps false nine like ice on coke Throw Phil Jones in there as well. I think his wage demands will scupper any deal. He's simply not worth 300k

Making Pogba our highest wage earner would be a massive step back. It was a mistake giving Dave that massive deal but at least you can say he was our best player at the time. But I don't think Pogba would even make top five. I'd put Bruno, Shaw, Varane, Sancho, Rashford and Edi ahead of him. He's already on £290k which makes him one of the best earners in the Premier League and third highest earner at the club behind Dave and Sancho. Probably doesn't help that we put Sancho on £350k a week. I don't think that was really necessary given he was on a fraction of that at Dortmund and no one else was after him. What is crazy is we are only paying Varane £200k a week even though he's won more trophies than the rest of the team put together. And you can't use the excuse he is a defender when Dave is a goalkeeper on £375k and isn't even a guaranteed starter any more. And no idea why we are still paying Martial £250k a week. It will be a struggle to get him off our books on those wages. Apparently we are now paying over £300m a year in wages. That is a pretty significant fixed cost. But bottom line Pogba has done nothing to merit a pay rise and is no longer even a guaranteed starter with Ole preferring McFred in big games. So if we insist on giving him a new contract it should be on pretty much the same wages with any uplift dependent on us winning trophies so he pulls his finger out. is he on that though? the MSM reported that as they always bloat the fees we pay. supposedly its 250k. the club is doing the right thing in trying to sort out their wage structure and not giving sanchez and de gear level wages out. if pogba doesnt accept that wage offered then he can leave this summer. take a lower fee of 40m to get the stench out

I always wonder where these wage figures come from, bandied around as though they’re gospel? Other than the club, the player and his manager, who else really knows?

Please pls can we just respect ourselves and realise Andreas perreira is not worth £20 million or £15 million infact £10 million would be seen as excellent business by us as the lad has not really developed.

Grealish as the first £100 million English player is incredibly underwhelming yet reading opinions elsewhere, some of our supporters are having a meltdown over him going to city. We’ve signed a potentially generational talent in Sancho. I’d be more worried if city get Kane.

Metro and the Mirror are saying that Saul's representatives are flying in to England tomorrow with the hope of sealing a move to Liverpool or us with Atletico willing to sell for around £40m. Apparently Saul is keen to sort out his future before the new season kicks off.
Saul for £40m would be an almost perfect hattrick of summer signings. His quality and experience and versatility is just what we need in midfield. Ole keeps going on about balance in midfield and Saul is the very definition of a balanced midfielder. I'd be majorly pissed if we used uncertainty re the Pogba situation or lack of available funds as an excuse.

I think City are looking at Kane's ridiculous fee and rightly determining Grealish to be better value in the long term.

At most, Grealish is a £60 to £70 million player who has done well but also comes with a few question marks regarding his long term health. He’s had a shin issue keep him out for extended periods for 2 seasons. That’s a red flag imo. I think we’re settled on the left with Rashford and can have Sancho and Martial rotate there when needed.

Indeed it's a hard sell but if I had a choice I'd take Grealish. There are games where having pacey players never really makes a difference and you need someone who can play against packed defenses and approach a problem alittle differently. The current value of players is daft, I'm doing my best to ignore the price tag when comparing players because it's all silly money at present.
