I’m never surprised anymore when this happens, but why are we persisting with playing out from the back ? We still can’t do it effectively.

Fred was only on for 20 minutes and we were inviting pressure in that time due to a stupid decision from the manager. But there's no excuse for a 57% pass completion rate for a defensive midfielder. He had pretty much similar stats in the first half against City. I like Fred, but we aren't challenging for trophies with him playing.

And I think Fred has a role in a title-winning squad. But them both playing next to eachother won't work for a truly top side. Fletcher was in part as good as he was because he had Scholes and Carrick next to him; even Hargreaves was a much better passer than our three defensive midfield options today.

I'm a bit hot and cold with Greenwood he needs to do more for me But I think this team has lots of squad players but not many nailed on starters We just can't predict the next game we could win by 3 we could lose by 3 I think there's definitely a quality player in Greenwood but again it will all come down to desire and attitude. He's had some personal issues this season apparently and has only just started getting back to any sort of normal form, less the goals of course. So this season is a write off for him but next year he really needs to kick on if he's going to be what he can be

"Crap team with crap manager plays crap" shock.
Onlookers said to be stunned.
The performances are ad nauseam, one after the other with the odd, rare, one off decent game thrown in seemingly just for a laugh, when players decide to show they can actually be quite good 4 or 5 times a season, they just won't do it more than that.
It's enough for top 4, the owners are loving it, Ole is beaming about the path we're on as we end up 20+ points behind the champions for yet another season and gets himself a shiny new 5 year contract for fulfilling his bosses demands to the letter; the letter basically being "Finish top 4, nothing else matters, fuck winning anything. Just get top 4."
OT crumbles around us as repairing or upgrading it costs money that could instead be used for the vital footballing project of buying more artwork and yachts for the shareholders, meanwhile 75 year old Ole celebrates his 30th year in charge with another 3rd place finish and no trophy by telling the fans the project is working and we're rebuilding a good team here, 35 years without a single trophy is disappointing but this is a long term project and the fans just need to be patient.
Summers come and go, apes gain human intelligence and begin the century long simian war, the continents drift back into one huge single landmass, the sun enters it's death throes and enlarges into red giant, and Ole tells the fans we're nearly there.

Our set piece defending is so shit. Yes Henderson should’ve done better but the fucking ball watching bottlers deserve criticism as well.

The problem is we havnt got a title winning side, yes maybe if those two was part of say the 2008 team or something like that they could have played a role, but they are the main go to DCM in a poor team, a major signing really needs to be a deep laying play maker in the summer.

If we had actual proper players in these positions Greenwood could be used correctly, the odd start now and again, sub appearances, no pressure on him. Instead he is very likely to have a century of games whilst still a teenager.

That was just shit, but it's the same all the time, the odd great win mixed in with turgid shite, I'd get rid of everybody tbh, bar Shaw, rashford,Bruno, AWB needs to improve, tbh he needs some competition, mason looks like he needs a break hasn't been right since the England thing, and then obvs what happened to his pal, other then that I couldn't give a shit if none of them put the shirt on ever again

Yes I agree, we're all desperate for him to be the next van persie right now because we're desperate for quality players and any other youngsters coming in to the side are under immense pressure to deliver Great goal by amad tonight but I'm not getting overly excited just yet, hope to shit stew is right about him though

Fred, McTominay and Matic as our 3 midfielders in the squad is just terrible really. Its amazing we are 2nd with them 3.
I actually like McTominay as well, but Ole doesn't use him right. He's not a defensive midfielder. He's a box to box type as we saw in the Leeds game. No matter where his best position is though, he isn't a stater. Neither is Fred and neither is Matic. We need a much better DM and only play one of them.
We really do miss Pogba.

Greenwood is still young, he needs pulling out of the team now again when he’s struggling then re introducing slowly, this is Ole again clueless.
