I must admit, Pogba looks as though he gives a shit more these days. Not sure how much is due to the good things he’s said about how Ole manages, or just that he’s putting himself in the shop window. It’s a bit of a conundrum, “leopards don’t change their spots” and all that, but when he’s motivated he’s an integral part of what we’re building towards.

Cavani and Pogba staying has become so important , otherwise it will be more case of 1 step forward and 2 steps back in next season.
Also Fred and AWB's limitations on the ball are being exposed , need better options there if we are to compete with the best.
Considering AWB does ok in the league he is not the biggest priority but Fred has to be upgraded.

With Fred this is exactly as I put it last night while speaking with some mates, his limitations are being constantly exposed. I tried to challenge myself if he is contributing something that I’m missing but couldn’t really think of it. Definitely needs an upgrade over him. AWB is simply one of the worst offensive RBs I’ve seen in recent times. Not sure if this can be taught, but we need someone who can provide us what he can’t, especially when we need to score more. |

Watched city last night and couldn't get my head round how different two halfs could be. Cut to tonight and exactly the same. Great second half. Enjoyable to watch, chalk and cheese compared to weekend If we are to push on next year though we need a world class defensive midfielder and have Mcfred as squad players. We need a right back to either push wanbasaka on or replace him. If Cavani goes need a striker. Would love a right winger as well but mason is looking top drawer. Got to say dont miss martial one bit Cavani is ten times the striker martial will ever be. We also need Pogba to sign a new contract which will keep bruno happy. Not much then Let's go win this thing Not sure about pogba as he’s been generally shit over the last 5 years with the odd good game(more half games)thrown in. AWB,mcfred,lindeolf,Maguire are squad players at best in any side with ambitions. rashford needs to get his consistency issues ironed out quickly or he will be on the list above(we can’t use the age argument forever) greenwood has more or less the same issues as rashford but he is young and I think he will come good but time will tell. VDB and telles have been poorly used by ole so it’s hard to judge them. james,mata,ddg,Jones,grant need moving on this summer. we really need to address at least half of those issues in the summer or we will stay as also rans but the problem is the club are quite content for us to be just that. |

They basically said did we really need both Fred and McTominay and Ole came out with some bullshit about balance. I didn't enjoy that actually, thought it was needless and betrayed him being aware of what pundits are saying. All of them also missed the point though that Rashford was anonymous again. Could easily have got Greenwood on for Rashford at HT and Ole could still have had his precious two defensive midfielders. |
