It is absolutely the manager's fault. Obviously Rashford is going to say he is fit to play and try to play through the pain. Ole needs to protect the player and rest him. He is not scoring goals and getting frustrated and it is doing no one any good. I understand the loyalty Ole feels to Rashford as so many times this season Rashford (along with Bruno) have saved our bacon. But now we have players like Cavani, Pogba and Greenwood stepping up and that should make it a lot easier to give Rashford a break so he is nice and fresh for next season and ready to win back his place in the team.
He’s carrying a knock. And is being played out of position. He clearly needs a break, which hopefully will come after the Roma game. The rest of the league games are pretty much meaningless. I think it’s more than a knock as well according to reports. Apparently he requires shoulder surgery and it seems clear he’s dealing with an ankle issue as well. It’s incredibly irritating having some of our supporters question his commitment and suggest he’s disinterested. Absolutely mind boggling.

Yeah with Pogba so good in that wide left position and Greenwood and Cavani banging them in there is absolutely no need to be playing Rashford when he is unfit and out of sorts. I know we have the other thread talking about Cavani. But difficult to contain my excitement. I think we are only just starting to see how good he still is. I'm expecting even greater things from him next season. There haven't been that many world class players at the club since Fergie left. But Cavani definitely still fits into that bracket and it is an honour to have him at the club. He looks very fit , going to be even better next season with proper pre season and also being more familiar with our style of play
