I think he was being sarcastic 🤣 I mean, why play so many defenders in a football match you win 5-1? Shaw and Tuanzebe in defense would have been enough, could also have started VDB and Amad then. |

My son had one of those, not a match ball obviously, but it was signed by the first team at the time, 2013-14 (ish) . Sadly no more, after being utterly destroyed by our French Bulldog, after rolling off a shelf in his room! He wasn’t happy, but Ruby was thrilled! |

Beating that mob 5-1 is a pretty perfect way to start a season. Obviously Pogba and Bruno will get the headlines but i thought Mctominay was faultless today and if he can replicate that performance all year it’s going to allow Pogba to run riot. Of course we’ve had these games a lot over the past few years and then we get dragged back to reality pretty quickly so I’m pausing on going to mental.
That finish though from Mason was genuinely world class.
Great to be back for another season and look forward to some hopefully good times with this squad.
