i don't think anyone that's happy we won today would disagree that the same performance against Liverpool gets us blown out in the first half. it's good that we won but no one is under the delusion that today's performance is going to get us past Liverpool. I don't think Scholesy is miserable, just often not true to the audience that pay his punditry wage, that there was a typical case in point. We all know that it was far from good again last night, normally he would have been singing the praises of his mate after a win, instead that opinion was an easy face save opinion, nothing more & one he knew he could easily get away with without ruffling OGS's feathers! You're allowed to see some occasional things in a less than 100 per cent negative way bud. Scholes didn't allow the discussion to become an aria to fortitude and powers of recovery. The result was a gloss and everyone with a brain knows it - Scholes made sure the post mortem wasn't.

Of course we dont want the team to lose but every win gives Ole a blood transfusion and we dont want that either, very frustrating times.

He has a point. Don't understand how any fan can actually want their own side to lose. Regardless of what the reason is. Everyone get frustrated but it's something I just don't agree with.Last game of the season. United are 9th, 4 points clear of 10th and 4 points behind 8th. They play Chelsea. Chelsea are level on points at the top of the table with Liverpool. If United lose Chelsea win the title. If United win, Liverpool win the title. You telling me you'd be cheering on United? I'm being facetious of course, but still; there are reasons to want to lose sometimes. Well if you're saying by us losing the rats wouldn't win the title then I suppose I could accept it one time

As for Scholes' comments as I wasn't gonna focus on it last night, rather enjoy european nights like that so wasn't too keen on focusing on the negative bits. Nothing can stop you from enjoying that 2nd half even if it is papering over cracks. Up there with some of the best European nights we've had at OT.
I do get what hes saying and I do agree with it. Sunday will be a totally different test. The 2nd half is where we should be at, anything less and it's going to be a long 90 minutes.

He’s here until CL qualification fails and not before unfortunately. They’ve blundered once again with the contract renewal and this is another face saving exercise dressed up as giving the manager time.

This is one of those results where your non-cynical, child like fan comes out. Let’s save the post-mortem for the morning! OK, I enjoyed the win last night, if not the performance. I've had a shit week, been in A&E twice this week for suspected mini-strokes. So forgive me if I found a little teeny tiny bit if joy in something.

Everything seems ok, just a horrible bout of Bells Palsy, they think, but in with a neurologist in November, just to make sure everything is ok though.
