The players, to an extent, threw Ole under the bus. Now Ralph is doing the same and I'm all for it. I would literally only keep 3-4 of the current first team squad. For me as a fan I would take a few seasons only competing for the Europa League with a new evolving squad for the next handful of years if it meant we would emerge in say 5/6/7 years time with a fresh new ethos and players who actually give a shit.

Rio's crying because it's the English frauds getting outed.
Regardless, Ralf definitely should have been telling the truth a lot sooner than now.

In his defence he has been more honest than any other manager we've ever had. Six months late. And both Jose and van Gaal were honest but got hung for it.

Now it's different, now we all want them out because we've seen what they really are.

Of course it is pure coincidence that Rio has a problem with bare honesty while it's Rashford, AWB, Shaw, and Maguire that have been dropped.

Now the season has gone to shit it looks as much like excuse making as true honesty. What is different today than six months ago? Rangnick has a national team job.

He was never going to win anything with these work shy wankers & the dividend wankers were never going to back him in January. Just like they won't listen to him this summer & just like they won't give the new manager the backing he actually needs to compete.

My guess is that six months ago he felt that speaking publicly about how the entire team were crap and needed to be replaced would make it even more difficult to get any kind of effort with the squad he was stuck coaching until the summer.
But I think he could have said something about how he wanted to sign a striker (and hopefully a DM in January) to secure top 4 and was denied funds. I think when he took over he figured the squad had just downed tools under Ole and was undercoached and he'd be able to steer us to top 4 and then realized just how bad things really were and pretty much gave up and focused on trying to steady the ship and hoped for the best.
He will get marginalized that is for sure and I doubt he will play much of a role in the rebuild. Hopefully ETH does take some of his transfer suggestions on board as Ralf knows the German league well and there is some quality there. But I figure he will be more focused on trying to restore his reputation as a coach with the Austrian national team.
